This article contains no information on the present status of Christians in the Persian Gulf. It is rather entirely historical. Christians in the Persian Gulf → Christianity in Eastern Arabia – the current article title suggests that it is about Christians swimming in the Persian Gulf. In fact the historical region being discussed here is Eastern Arabia. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:15, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

• Weak support in its current state this makes sense. For future reference, if anyone ever finds the time to merge some information from Christianity in Iran, I think this page could be a useful overview since there were historical ties between the Christians of Iran and Eastern Arabia. • I strongly disagree on that. The other side of the Gulf is a completely different country. It would be like having an article about Christianity in the North Sea that includes the eastern shore of Great Britain. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:19, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

• (1) Eastern Arabia contains completely different countries. (2) Under the Sasanians and the early Caliphate, both sides of the gulf were part of the same country. Srnec (talk) 19:51, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

• Support. The article is focused on the history of Christianity in Eastern Arabia as it's shares the same characteristics and history, expanding it to include Iran will introduce inconsistency to the article. UA3 (talk) 08:25, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

• But what then is the justification for separating out Eastern Arabia from the rest of Arabia? The East Syriac ecclesiastical province of Fars certainly included both sides of the gulf back when Christianity was actually a force in the region. Srnec (talk) 19:51, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
