Mor info edit

I have ordered a copy of the book "Saint Sharbel" by Mary Clare Vincent (ISBN 0-932506-94-1). I should be able to fill in the blanks once it arrives. Information regarding Sharbel seems to be a little elusive. Lukeoconnell 21:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I know someone who has the book. I will see if I can borrow it. Majoreditor 02:31, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Attempted revision edit

I have tried to put some order to the article. Misspellings and grammar have been corrected. There are still too many religious sentiments expressed which, while fine for a hagiographical booklet, are not appropriate for an encyclopedia article, but I am reluctant to remove them all. I need to check some other sources for facts. Too much is described as happening in 1853 and the order of his stays in the monasteries is not clear. I shall return at a later date. • I agree that the religious tradition needs to be documented in an NPOV manner and the prose is generally atrocious. However, the "Citation Needed" after "His soul, however, was with God" seems mildly provocative. Anyway. Everyone do remember to assume good faith. kthx. :) -Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 04:24, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • The religious references had me thinking the article was quoting from an official source, or something, as it definitely does not seem like many of the details expressed are either verifiable or neutrally documented. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.183.109 (talk) 20:17, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Citation needed tags edit

I think we can add a notice in the top of the section about his death instead of having so many cite need tags. Yes or no? ♥ Xuandy ♥ (Talk) 17:27, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well then I think I can do it myself? ♥ Xuandy ♥ (Talk) 00:08, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

image removed edit

I deleted an image of a relic as it has no reliable source. I've discovered with these various Catholic saints, oftentimes sellers of relics on eBay will insert either images of the relic for sale, or make claims that are not supported by reliable sources, apparently to lend legitimacy to their item for sale. Whenever I see relics included, I check eBay. As it turns out, this particular relic appears to be currently for sale on eBay along with another similar to it in a yellow colored reliquary. Biography edit

There's not much in the way of biography on this page. Nothing is mentioned in the section on his life that would indicate his sainthood. For example, there's no elaboration on what is mentioned in the intro about his holiness, miracles during his life, and his ability to unite Christians and Muslims. This should be a point of revision in the very near future. natemup (talk) 01:17, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
