No quater
edit- hoisted a flag of "no quarter" from the church's tower, marking the beginning of the siege.
Does the flag represent no prisoners taken (as in Waxhaw Massacre), no lodgings avaible (the root of military term), or a flag without quartering (heraldry)? I have assumed the first but if different please change the link. If the first what was on the flag? If anyone knows please add it to the no quarter article --Philip Baird Shearer 12:49, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
