The article doesn't mention what she did or what charges she may be facing. She rammed a police border patrol boat when she forced her way into harbour. She could face up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted of "resisting a warship". Resisting a warship is different issue from the ramming. That applies to Navigation code and Rackete refusal to follow orders of Italian warship about not entering Italian territorial waters. She is under investigation by Italian prosecutory and Italian police. Italian courts do not perform any investigative duties. Carola Rackete issued a statement today confirming she is not employed by Sea Watch and never has been. She has only ever worked with Sea Watch as a volunteer. I suspect that this is the fault of news media being lazy and conflating volunteer work with employment. I've updated the page to reflect that she was a volunteer.
