  • Non-NPOV rambling. Could be made an article, but should be deleted as is. Brooklyn Nellie (Nricardo) 00:51, Apr 17, 2004 (UTC)

  • I don't understand the eagerness to delete. I added some basic facts on the movie in about 2 minutes. VfD is not cleanup. Keep. Everyking 03:25, 17 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • You rewrote the article from scratch. Nothing would have been lost if it was deleted first. -- Cyrius|&#9998 07:55, Apr 17, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Agree. Now a good stub. Andrewa 04:08, 17 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • Still rather short for a stub, but keep. -- Cyrius|&#9998 07:55, Apr 17, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. It'll grow eventually. (re: original article version, I wonder if Jackie Chan knows that he's really Japanese...) Postdlf 8:04 17 Apr 2004

Cast

edit

Cast seems to include every single actor... too extensive for an encyclopedia?

Unsourced material

edit

The following is unsourced information:

  • Jackie Chan admittedly did the film to fulfill his contract with Warner Brothers.
  • This film is the second and final appearance (to date) of Victor's superhero alter-ego, Captain Chaos.

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 13:08, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Penultimate" Note at bottom of cast list

edit

At the bottom of the cast list, there is this note: Note: For all three "Rat Packers" (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr.), Cannonball Run II was the penultimate movie in their careers. Davis died of throat cancer in 1990; Martin had a heart attack in 1995; and Sinatra died of complications in 1998.

This appears to be incorrect. This was Frank Sinatra's and Dean Martin's final film that they were physically in (according to their Wikipedia pages,) although both were in one other film in archival footage only. Sammy Davis Jr. was in several other movies after this one. Technically, "penultimate" (meaning next to last) might be considered correct for Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, although I am of the opinion that a film that only uses archive footage or audio shouldn't count.98.162.209.39 (talk) 02:43, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Good Place

edit

This movie was referenced by name in season 2 episode 2 of the good place along with other times, should that be mentioned here? DemonDays64 (talk) 20:17, 14 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Anon, came here for this, I say yes in a "Popular culture references" section --71.72.244.27 (talk) 22:10, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shirley MacLaine was never in the Rat Pack

edit

Yet this article makes a statement as if she was in the Rat Pack. That sentence needs to be rewritten. 2601:18F:E82:A10:894F:EEE4:39C9:3415 (talk) 09:34, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
