Scoville units?
editThe values quoted in the article (4004-12000 Scoville) sounds really low. This roughly equates to snacking on jalapeños. Is there an off by a factor of 10 somewhere, or is the Scoville scale not reliable in soup-like food? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taotriad (talk • contribs) 16:14, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- The current method for finding the Scoville units for a food are done using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The amount of capsaicin in the noodles might be low, but the test does not reflect how spicy it "feels" when it is being eaten by someone. Considering I am eating this very brand of noodles as I type this, it does feel hotter than eating a jalapeno. GarethBaloney (talk) 11:55, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
Name
editThese are universally knows as "Buldak", and this article should be renamed as "Buldak Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen" or something along those lines. Jpatokal (talk) 12:18, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Samyang's official pages now call this simply "Buldak Ramen", so I've followed suit and moved the page. Jpatokal (talk) 09:50, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
