There's a beautiful photo that I found on flickr and added as an external link, but, unfortunately, there's no provision for re-use. This war memorial was sculpted by artist Sydney March. It is in the churchyard surrounded by a hedge. It actually only represents half of the memorial. The other half was the bronze tablet inside the original church which recorded the names of the fallen. It was lost at the time of the 1941 air raid which destroyed most of the church. I haven't been able to learn whether the bronze tablet was ever replaced. If you have an opportunity, it would be great if you could take a peek inside the church to see whether there's a replacement tablet to photograph. Thank you. Both links verifying Sydney March as the sculptor are broken, and the Wayback Machine doesn't seem to have archived the information. It looks as if several (perhaps most) other links in the references are broken as well. (Pinging ACP2011, who created this article.) Ham II (talk) 06:51, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
