I made a "See Also" section linking to the 1490 Ch'ing Yang event because there's a lot of similarities. Even though the implication in this case might be that the hail was formed from water due to the sudden decrease in temperature. And even small balls of those hurt as I myself know, but the possibility that it might've been fragments from some celestial body is there in my opinion.
