The author of this article asserts that the subject passes WP:NACADEMIC #5. Specifically that the person "holds or has held a named chair appointment or distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research (or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon)." While it's clear she is a full professor, I don't see her appointment satisfying the distinguished professor. It seems she is just a run-of-the-mill professor at a major institution. I prefer to help bring articles up to par as opposed to bringing them down - I would like to see this page succeed. If there is any non-English language material that can be added to show WP:NACADEMICS I would be happy to help include it correctly into this page. Given the discussion on the AFD page, I'm asking for more information on the claim that she is an "is an internationally recognised expert in the field," supposedly supported by 3 citations. The only one which is a web reference[1] makes no such assertion. Best I can tell it duplicates the info that she's been involved with a couple of academic initiatives. I don't know whether you read Norwegian but the article in Apollon refers to her work on human rights in eight African countries. There is lots more on her international recognition here, here and [2].--Ipigott (talk) 12:47, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
