American languageAmerican language (disambiguation)American English is WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT and gets most page traffic. Also the title of this page "American language" is clearly in WP:SINGULAR, so someone who searches for this term is likely looking for a page about a single topic rather than a list. page view statistics--Prisencolin (talk) 17:31, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose "American language" has no primary topic, giving it one would be incorrect.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 19:05, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose Pageviews do not seem to support the argument put forward. American language is not clearly a primary redirect to American English. Users may well be looking for a single topic not a list, but that does not mean they are overwhelmingly looking for the same thing. Shadow007 (talk) 05:19, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. American English is not commonly referred to as the American language. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:03, 14 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
