Amadou BaAmadou Ba (politician, born 1961) – Just created Amadou Ba (disambiguation), and there are quite a few to be confused with. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 08:13, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes, or "Amadou Ba (Senegalese prime minister)"? Furius (talk) 10:35, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Prime Minister of Senegal is the primary topic due to long-term significance. Sahaib (talk) 00:37, 12 February 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. BD2412 T 21:04, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Support The PM is the primary topic. fr.wiki and all other language wikis have already done this. Furius (talk) 15:44, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment page views. Schierbecker (talk) 17:13, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose Amadou Hampâté Bâ has more views (72,167) than the 1961 one (33,229), the footballer has 14,111, Amadou Dia Ba has 17,272, Amadou Ba-Sy has 879 and the 1892 one has 567. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:02, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Only the footballer is really relevant here, because the others are already disambiguated by their second names. Furius (talk) 08:35, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK I see "Hampâté" isn't a middle name as I though but the 1961 politician doesn't have a clear lead in views (which is surprising for a current politician) even largely discounting Hampâté and I'd expect some readers would expect Hampâté is a middle name and use just "Amadou Ba" when looking for Hampâté. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:10, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
What if we were to perform the move per request and put a hatnote like {{for-multi|the Malian writer and historian|Amadou Hampâté Bâ|other people named Amadou Ba|Amadou Ba (disambiguation)}} at the top of Amadou Ba (politician, born 1961)? AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 02:13, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't think there is an obvious primary topic of of all the uses such as the footballer and Amadou Ba-Sy. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:25, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. Historical significance, as well as the fact that the page for the 1961 politician has been around for a lot less time than Amadou Hampate Ba and has already accrued half the views, indicating that it will likely surmount Hampate Ba in the near future. Relisting comment: Relisting for clearer consensus. BD2412 T 21:04, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. As a national leader, long-term significance is always likely to lean in his favour, and recent page views show that he has a sizeable lead over anyone else. All in all seems fairly straightforward.  — Amakuru (talk) 13:45, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
