William Mitchell edit
Rev. William Mitchell was my great-great-great-grandfather and his son-in-law Archdeacon James Brown was my great-great grandfather - both of whom ran were rectors of the Swan Parish. I have a few books here relating to early days around the Swan Parish and various associated individuals. I'll see if I can expand a bit more. -- Moondyne ≡ talk 07:07, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

- Also, you might want to look at St. Mary's in Middle Swan - a much prettier and more interesting (albeit no quite so old) church IMO. -- Moondyne ≡ talk 07:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- St Mary's has caught my attention I noticed that a church in Middles Swan called St Marys was completed in 1840 prior to the All Saints, Rev William Mitchell was rector for there as well at the same.. Gnangarra 08:04, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- St Mary's was originally Mitchell's home/mission and then an orphanage and orphans farm. The church itself has been extended several times, although an original octagonal shaped building built in 1840 was demolished in about 1870 (I think) - the first stage of the current church was built in about 1870 also. It has a interesting cemetery with many big names buried there. It's worth a drive with a camera. -- Moondyne ≡ talk 11:01, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Good Article failure edit
- First link is broken for me.
- this actual site appears to be having problems as it isnt available to me either i'll check the site again in a week to see if the problem has been fixed. If the site continues to unavailabe there are non-internet sources that can be quoted for this statement there is a photo of a copy of the statement in the image gallery Gnangarra11:32, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- Second link states:"All Saints Church contains elements of one of the oldest extant church buildings in Western Australia" The "one of" is very important, as it does not specifically state that it is the oldest.
- added ref for claim, though image on page from site already states the same. Gnangarra
- Not broad enough in coverage. For example, no information on current usage.
- copy edited establishment of service to service and included current services and diocese Gnangarra
- Needs more useable sources.
Quite frankly the loss of faith in the statement that it is the oldest W. Aust. church kills the veracity of anything in the article. Seriously needs better sources for your claim.--SeizureDog 05:41, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
