Alfa Romeo GTA Image edit

Updated this as I felt the new image was prefered because:

The previous image "1965 Alfa Romeo GTA" has been removed - possibly by the image owner.

GTA and GTAm edit

I feel we need to split up the information on the GTA and GTAm. While there isn't enough information to justify a new page, there probably should be one section for GTA and GTA Junior and a seperate section for the GTAm.

GTA? edit

Surely the engine section containing discussion of the 147 GTA is completely wrong, this not being a page on the 147?

I agree. The 147 GTA engine specifications do not belong here. Otherwise why not also add the 156 GTA and every other modern Alfa Romeo, where the GTA badge has been used to designate the top performance model... such as the Alfa Romeo 159 where there are plans for a GTA variant. --Xagent86 01:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Have now removed 147 GTA engine section from the article as it didnt belong there. --Xagent86 (Talk | contribs) 21:03, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Weight of Alfa GTA 1600 edit

I question the listed weight of the 1600 GTA of 1800 lbs. I owned a 1966 that I weighed on an accurate truck scale and it weighed 1830 lbs with fuel, water and oil and with me in it. In those days I weighed 160 which would put the weight closer to 1670 lbs wet. I have seen the dry weight listed as 1640 lbs which seem in line with what I found. The body of the car stripped of all running gear and other parts could be easily picked up by two people and set on top of another car (personal experience) Rv8pilot (talk) 04:42, 19 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is no info if this is dry or wet weight. --Typ932 T·C 06:20, 19 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

GTA 1900 and GTA 2000 edit

This section needs to be rewritten with proper source somehow, in Wikipedia we cant use forums as sources:

"There are some doubts whether the Brazilian cars were actually 2000cc, as both Zambello and Fernandez are reported to have won events in 1969 with a GTA1900 which is a different engine (1840cc), though it can not be ruled out that their car was upgraded to 2000cc for 1970. Regardless, given the dates of the events in Brazil, the Angolan and Brazilian cars are different (this text is a modified quote by "Alleggerita" in http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/giulia-gta-gta-1300-jr-gtam-1965-1975/73828-gta-2000-a.html#post535097)." -->Typ932 T·C 17:07, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
