Talk:Alcohol in Russia

Bullshit article edit

First: alcoholism wasn't "a problem throughout the history" just because prior to the revolution Russia was one of the least drinking countries in the world with an annual intake of approximately 3 litres per capita. It became a problem only in 70s-80s.

Second: there are old WHO statistics listed. Those ones in the article are dated with 2005, not 2011 as written here. According to the latest data Russia consumers around 12 litres a year per capita, which makes Russia 20th most drinking country in the world behind such "civilized and democratic" countries like US, Germany, France, and many others.

As I see from this article: the informational war against Russia is in the full play... 94.180.4.195 (talk) 14:23, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I wonder why the article with absolutely incorrect statistics and facts is still in wiki and any attempt to edit it is unsparingly blocked??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.180.30.214 (talk) 18:19, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alcohol consumption in RussiaAlcohol in Russia – There is no other "alcohol consumption in Fooland" article on Wiki. I suggest renaming this to standardize this with other articles in Category:Alcohol by country, including Category:Alcohol in Russia, for which this is the main article. This article is more than just about consumption, history contains informatioin like "In 2006, a new alcohol excise stamp known as the EGAIS system was introduced, allowing to identify every bottle sold in Russia through a centralized data system", there is a section on law, treatment, etc. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:09, 9 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
