The result of the move request was: moved. It's spelled bothways but there's no explicit dissent from adopting the version chosen by the club. DrKiernan (talk) 17:55, 16 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Al-Wahda (Mecca)Al-Wehda Club (Mecca) – This is the correct and the complete name. Relisted. BDD (talk) 20:52, 27 October 2012 (UTC) Fayçal.09 (talk) 17:55, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • In the official website of the team, the name of the team is writen in Arabic: نادي الوحدة, Arabic pronunciation: [Nādi Al-Wehda]. The name is writen Wehda not Wahda and Nādi means Club. Wehda official site. Fayçal.09 (talk) 17:55, 10 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
In the arabic language the lettre و is a consumes (و = w). What about the vowel (a or e), in this word we can't see it and we can pronounce it into two ways (Al Wahda or Al Wehda), here the name of the team is pronouced Al Wehda, you can see the english word in the official site and also in the official logo of the club. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 16:31, 11 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • I note we have a disamb page at Al-Wahda. With various clubs spelled both ways. Yes I've seen wehda before in transliterating وحدة, the Arabic for unity, but as Anthony Appleyard says normally it is transliterated wahda. Saudi-Arabia's handling of romanization seems pretty random. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:18, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Al-Wehda Club (Mecca)Al Wahda (Mecca) – The article currently has three of its 4 English language links using the 'a', and only one using the 'e'. We should not just be going with how the club appear to spell it. Also, here are two other examples using the 'a': ESPN, Guardian. Note: I've listed it without the hyphen but usage of this is split, so would have no objection if any move was made using the hyphen. --Relisted Tyrol5 [Talk] 03:48, 10 January 2013 (UTC) Relisted. We don't just go with official name but what the independent English-language sources are saying. Your first link above did not work. The kooora.com link is primarily in Arabic although they don't add ’Club' to the name so I don't see why we need to. It's not like there are other Al Wahda's in Mecca. Eldumpo (talk) 10:08, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
I surprise why u don't go with official name! the name of Steaua Bucureşti is not Staaua Bucureşti, iven if Steaua is a roman word however we respect this official name. What about the team Al-Wehda Club; first in the saudi arabic language we said phoneticaly Al-Wehda not Al-Wahda. And second which is more important, Al-Wehda Club is the official name of the team, I gives you an example about the logo showed in the official website of the Saudi Pro League, and here the Official club website as an other exemple. Regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 21:49, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Have you read WP:COMMONNAME ? Eldumpo (talk) 12:13, 29 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
The FIFA link is a good source, although SLStats is already sourced in the article, along with a number of other 'Wahda' sources, including Soccerway. We shouldn't just dismiss sites which are not from the country of origin, but in any case Arab news use the 'a', as does STC Eldumpo (talk) 18:34, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
