Rather than just pissing other editors off with hatnotes, perhaps you could make an effort to improve the article? D47817 (talk) 17:36, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Instead of other editors you mean you? This page needs a lot of work and I will make the effort to improve it, but making a made rush is no way to go about it. Its better to collect a number of refs, which hopeful you will also add to, and then a proper detail like at each etc and then transfere them to each section, like the franchise promises etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.5.46.69 (talk) 21:47, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
Too heavy on rolling stock...
edit...while being too light on routes and services. 188.29.164.157 (talk) 11:20, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
Agreed - this article, along with the South Western one, needs a table of services. I'll try to do it when I have free time. 49.206.124.242 (talk) 13:33, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
Future - Number of Carriages
editI can see that repeated edits have been made on the number of carriages that Abellio ScotRail is going to introduce. The same can be confirmed from the reference (present in References Section) - "ScotRail HST fleet plans". RAIL magazine. 1 September 2015. Retrieved 12 November 2015. It states "there will be 14 four-car sets (two Class 43 power cars plus four carriages) and 13 five-car sets (2+5)" which signifies that there will be 14 four carriages and 13 five carriages.
I am reverting the number of carriages in this article based on the aforesaid reference. In case of any discrepancies, please cite the references for the edits being made. Thanks in Advance. Sanket Edits Wiki (talk) 20:13, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Carmont Derailment
editNo mention of today's derailment. GWR/FGW has a list of all incidents and it should be repeated on Scotrail — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.198.123.117 (talk) 20:05, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
Unreferenced fleet table
editThe large table in the "Fleet at end of franchise" section is entirely unreferenced. Unfortunately more than one editor has been tempted to simply copy/paste this table across into the new operator ScotRail. That can't be done as any content added to a Wikipedia article needs to be properly sourced and not original research. It doesn't matter what anyone knows, through personal knowledge / experience for example, it has to be properly cited with verifiable and reliable sources WP:V / WP:RS. I would suggest that if the table in this article can't be properly referenced then it should be deleted or at least reduced down to what can actually be referenced. That will at least reduce the temptation for stuff to be copied over (or allow properly referenced content to be copied over). 10mmsocket (talk) 18:22, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- The franchise agreement details the train fleet on page 21, is that what you are looking for? Boothy m (talk) 19:32, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- That's a really good start for establishing what was in the fleet in 2014. Some of the content in the paragraph before the table explains some of the changes made to the fleet, as does the former fleet section. I suspect that the union of all those bits of info would give a well referenced section. I'll take a look but others are also welcome to have a go. (b.t.w. I have searched but can't find anything similar for the new ScotRail) 10mmsocket (talk) 20:26, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
