Stub
editI have created a stub. I stopped because taking it all from Britannica won't necessarily create the best article and is paraphrasing too much from one source. gren グレン 04:44, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Citation for rivalry with Fazi claim
editI'm not good with Wikipedia, but I feel the need to bring this to someones attention. The uncited claim for the rivalry with Fazi has support on page 571 of this book: http://books.google.com/books?id=ycgNAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA571&lpg=PA571&dq=mullah+shabri&source=bl&ots=B3a23cuhp-
And 255-256 of this book http://books.google.com/books?id=qVA-AAAAcAAJ&pg=PA251&dq=razmnama&hl=en&sa=X&ei=kSoYUbDSD5S60QGlwYGgDw&ved=0CD8Q6AEwAw#v=onepage&q=razmnama&f=false He basically talks a lot of trash about Fazi. In the intro to his chapter in the second source the editor talks about how he was super religious and strongly resented Akbar and his ministers including Fazi.
This doesn't indicate that Fazi felt likewise, but it certainly indicates that Badauni had strong animosity towards him for religious reasons.
Perhaps a more able editor than myself can use this information to improve the article?

Contradicting information?
editThe major biographical dates were taken, according to reference provided, from Enceclopedia Britanica but don't match the information there. Date and place of birth and date and place of death, at least, might need to be more thoroughly checked/sourced?!
In office since 2019?! Looks a bit like this page was subject to subtle vandalism. Michtrich (talk) 21:11, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

ʽAbd al-Qadir Badayuni → Abdul Qadir Badayuni – WP:COMMONNAME This is the common English name. SKAG123 (talk) 01:23, 24 December 2023 (UTC)— Relisting. Dr vulpes (Talk) 04:01, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. Ngrams would seem to indicate that the English common name is Abdul Qadir Badauni. I'm inclined to think that instead of a weak transliteration we should use the name commonest in high-quality academic sources, which I think is more likely to be something like ʽAbd al-Qadir Badaʼuni, the form preferred by most of the links in the Authority control template: e.g. [1][2][3]. - I would Support changing the article to Abdul Qadir Badauni or keeping it as it depending on what is the common name. SKAG123 (talk) 22:31, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
