The Irish People is a minor far-right political party in the Republic of Ireland.[4] It was founded in 2023.[citation needed] The party is reportedly among one of several "anti-immigrant parties" registered ahead of the 2024 local elections.[2]

The "about" section of the party's website outlines their position on migration (opposing "open borders"), education (rejecting what they deem indoctrination), neutrality, free speech, support for farmers (and opposing net zero) and housing (prioritising housing for Irish people).[1]

David O’Reilly, one of the three officers of its executive committee,[1] contested the 2020 general election in Galway East, where he stated his opposition to same-sex marriage, abortion, and "multi-cultural supremacy and mass migration", and described climate change as a hoax.[2] He came 11th, of 12 candidates in the constituency, with less than 0.6% of the vote and was eliminated in the first count.[5]
