Is this category intended to be inclusive of ethnically Turkic peoples prior to the establishment of the modern Turkish Republic? For example, Ottomans of Turkic decent? Judging by the sentence The main article for this category is Turkish people., this category is related with Ethnic Turkish people and mainly Ethnic Turkish people from the modern Republic of Turkey and Ethnic Turkish emigrants form the modern Republic of Turkey. For "Ottomans of Turkic decent" (in Ottoman era), we can use Category:Ottoman Turks. As long as I understand, we need such as Category:People from Turkey, Category:Citizens of Turkey.
