Thanks Harsha, for setting up the new round! So, here we go! I will start with a quickie.

UP has 4 of them. Next come Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with 3 each and Andrapradesh, Bihar and Karnataka with 2 each. 5 more states and 3 union territories (including Delhi) have just one each.

Sorry to interrupt. The question is brilliant but i believe the answer doesn't fit in according to question !! It should be 27 Entities according to Initial question, but the page says only 19 and i know, as i am from AP, we have only one Intl. Airport. That's why i didn't try that option even when at first look i thought of that answer only. Passport offices ( http://passport.nic.in/) fits in better than Intl. Airports i believe. Intl. Airport, according to the Wikipedia page itself, UP has only one, the question says 4..there are many anomalies.Prasad (talk) 01:33, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you Prasad for the excellent interruption. When the question was formulated On 4th March, the counts were exactly as seen in the page List_of_international_airports_in_India. However, that page was edited subsequently and now the list is shorter! On checking other references, the official page from AAI (http://www.aai.aero/allAirports/int_airports.jsp) shows fewer pages than actual. No reliable reference was found elsewhere as well.

At present, (as per WP data on date), the total quantity is just a little short of 700. To my convenience here, I am not mentioning the unit for its measure.

Other states do have similar features, but they are still not up to the same high standards and capacities to be counted in our table. However, the GoI has been investing thousands of crores in these years which will change the above data drastically.

It IS India ink. India ink is widely used in tissue processing (to mark up regions in surgically removed tumour tissues etc.) in the histopathology labs due to its unique characteristics. It also acts as an intermediate agent (forming semi-conducting layers) for special glass/art electroplating jobs. In India, it has been in use as a dye and ink since at least 4th century BC.
