Potentially notable trees edit

The following trees involve Hall of Fame coaches and may likely be shown to be notable with further research: Barry Alvarez, Charlie Bachman, Frank Beamer, Earle Bruce, Duffy Daugherty, Don Faurot, Phillip Fulmer, Don James (American football), Bill McCartney, John McKay, Biggie Munn, Jess Neely, Don Nehlen, Tommy Prothro, John Robinson. I'm not saying it was wrong to remove these trees, just that someone may wish to dig deeper at some point to determine whether support can be found. Cbl62 (talk) 06:58, 10 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Cbl62, I agree. These are all good candidates for a coaching tree to be included in the article, provided the right sourcing can be established. Jweiss11 (talk) 07:02, 10 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Other possible candidates: Dennis Erickson, Fisher DeBerry, Dennis Franchione, Dennis Green, Jack Mollenkopf, Jerry Moore (American football, born 1939), Tommy Tuberville, Bobby Ross, Tom Coughlin, Brian Kelly (American football coach), R. C. Slocum, Jackie Sherrill, Mike Donahue, Chuck Fairbanks, Howard Schnellenberger, John Cooper (American football), Dan Devine, John Ralston (American football), Frank Kush, Bernie Bierman, Danny Ford, Len Casanova, Mike Bellotti, Chris Ault, Bob Stoops, Bud Wilkinson, Hal Mumme, Bill Yeoman, Gary Patterson, George Welsh (American football), Jim Sweeney (coach), Frank Cignetti Sr., Paul Johnson (American football coach), Mark Dantonio. More possible candidates: Mike Ditka, Bud Grant, John Madden, Henry L. Williams. Jweiss11 (talk) 21:06, 12 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Missed Frank Thomas (American football) before. I removed the article's unsourced coaching tree section with only three entries, but it's another good candidate here. Jweiss11 (talk) 03:10, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Bear Bryant, Walter Camp, and Vince Lombardi haven't had coaching tree sections, but are good candidates as well. Jweiss11 (talk) 03:14, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also, George Halas and Don Shula. Jweiss11 (talk) 21:56, 16 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
