Welcome to WikiProject Mongols! This group wants to help coordinate the work on articles related to Mongol culture, history and language, irrespective of citizenship and provide a platform from which this can be done.

ScopeEdit

This project includes in its scope all articles related to Mongols: their culture, politics, history, and languages (i.e., the Mongolic languages). This includes linguistic Mongolians, e.g. the Mongols mainly living in the Mongolian state, Inner Mongolia and Dzungaria in China, Buryatia and Kalmykia in Russia who can linguistically interact with each other, as well as the affiliated Dagurs, Mongols further dispersed to the south such as Monguor, Santa, Bonan and Kangjia in the east of Qinghai lake, Mongol Uyghurs in its north and the isolated Moghols in western Afghanistan. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Mongols in a reliable, but independent manner. All articles in its scope should be contained within the Category:Mongols or one of its subcategories.

To do listEdit

  • Just created an article on the rapper Quiza just in order to get rid of an incorrect redirect. I created it so that it is notable and should be in no danger of deletion, but it is excedingly uninformative in its current stage. Could anybody upgrade it? G Purevdorj (talk) 06:06, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
  • It would be good if a template of all articles within the scope of this project and their respective ratings could be added here. G Purevdorj (talk) 02:06, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
  • The article for Cham dance has a small section on Mongolia (disclosure, I wrote it) and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in collaborating on a full article. There is a lot of material that is pertinent with the revitalization in the post-Soviet era and I don't want to overwhelm the current article. Kazamzam (talk) 13:54, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
