All articles that fall within the scope of the Derbyshire WikiProject should have the above template placed on their talk page. Sometimes, you will see a UK geography WikiProject template already there. In these cases, you should also add our template. You can add the template by editing in {{Template:Project Derbyshire|class=|importance=}} right at the top of the talk page. You should also attempt to make an assessment of the quality (the "|class=" bit) and importance (the "|importance=" bit) of any newly-templated article using the scales described here. The above expample has "class=template" and "importance=high" and would normally sit on the article Talk page. If not filled in the page is added to the category:unassessed Derbyshire articles automatically.

If you see someone editing an article within the scope of the project place this on their talk page to welcome them into our little community. To use place {{Subst:Derbyshire welcome|Article name}} where Article name is the article you saw them editing.
