Propose merging Template:Translation attribution shell with Template:Banner holder.

  • Support, a single template is preferable because it's much easier to remember. However, it would be useful to have that version of the translation version available via some parameter (e.g. |translation=yes, or if there are more versions that would be useful to have options for, |version=translation), rather than people needing to set up all of the text etc manually and reducing consistency across pages. --Xurizuri (talk) 00:51, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    I'll just respond in the one spot; I don't think we should generally support ad hoc parameters like that one. At the end of the day, the templates which go into {{Translation attribution shell}} are just more banners. If users really think it's critical to indicate what kinds of banners, that should be a specific talk page discussion/consensus to deviate from the generic. As far as I can tell, this template has never been used in {{No More Links}} (I checked every diff since this template's creation). We used to use {{Z148}} as a tracking template there, but those templates were removed.
