Propose merging Template:Immigration to Sri Lanka with Template:Ethnic groups in Sri Lanka.
The template should be merged with Template:Ethnic groups in Sri Lanka. One template should include all of this information as to make it easier for the reader to navigate to articles related to the ethnic groups of Sri Lanka instead of having two. The other "Ethnic groups in (insert country name)" have one template. A merged template on the lines of this conveys the information (articles) in one setting. Support The separation of the two templates is not needed and they should be merged together. I also want to add that the "Immigration" template in a way also implies those of non-indigenous descent (Moors, Indian Tamils, Malays, Chinese etc.) are not "Sri Lankan" when in reality they are. They are grouped with expatriate populations as if they are all the same and implies those groups mentioned above are not citizens which is incorrect. Template:Huntsville-Decatur Metropolitan Area (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

No evidence of necessity. I haven't found any exact policy for this, but it appears to be the only template of its kind; the only ones I have found are for metro areas, which makes more sense. If someone knows of a policy for this, please list it here. If best, the material should be split into Template:Huntsville metropolitan area (or Huntsville, Alabama metropolitan area) and Template:Decatur, Alabama metropolitan area. don't split, Huntsville, Alabama metropolitan area is a redirect to Huntsville, Alabama where as Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville is a valid statistical area. I have no problem with deleting this template outright, but we shouldn't be splitting into invented subregions. Frietjes (talk) 23:23, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
