Hi Zambonia. I also want to say, nice work writing about Eden II! It's really exciting to see someone working on this important installation. As I have some contact with the artist of that piece and Type A's, it would be fun to let them know once you're doing working on it.

I have to say that your image may be problematic in that according to US copyright laws, that image is likely in violation of copyright. It should get fixed along the way, though.

I'd be most interested to know how and why you became interested in working as an e-volunteer.

To go along with this note, I'll provide my untimely reply to your question about Flickr. I'm sorry, you caught me while I was out of the country. But to answer your question, no, there is no better way to upload non-free content, based on our recommendations, than to upload it to Flickr and have an outside source for it. They're extremely picky about fair use images. At this point, the image should be deleted and removed from the article to avoid further issues. But that does not mean that the rest of your article is not fabulous! Thanks again for your efforts and let us know if you have any other questions as you move forward. Happy to help. I promise to be more quick in my replies now that I'm permanently back state-side.

Having museums share batches of no-known-copyright images is a long and time sensitive process, but we're working on it. Even still, none of the contemporary works would be copyright free, including Team Building (Align.) The only way is to upload them individually as fair use, based on our guidelines. Congrats on all of your work in Wikipedia! It's really cool to see all of your work come to fruition. Did you notice that the article you started about Eden II wound up on the main page of Wikipedia? While it was there it received about 1700 views.

I'm glad to see you're now on to the article about Team Building (Align). It seems like you've gotten the image things worked out ... it can be complicated to get up to speed on all of the copyright issues. In short, if the artwork was made after about 1923, then it's still under copyright. If it's made before that then it's considered in the public domain.

We mask

Zambonia, I was wondering if the IMA Handbook that you said you have on loan has any additional information about the Face mask (We people), accession #1989.373. Sadly, only about half of the artworks are in that book, largely because it is so old. That particular mask wasn't even acquired until the year after it was published. You'll have better luck with the Europeans and Americans, though the Asian coverage isn't awful. Zambonia (talk) 17:10, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Zambonia, I hate to keep bugging you asking you to check your handbook, but does your book by chance have additional information for the Ritual wine server (guang), accession #60.43? Well, that was admittedly a little less helpful than I was hoping, hehe. You're right that it sounds a bit better than the website, but there is not much extra detail. It's sort of wierd that they wouldn't at least explain which animals the overall shape are meant to depict (i.e. is the lid a dragon?). Oh well, thanks for checking! Ways to improve Senufo female ancestor figure

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. It is unclear to me if each piece in the museum's collection needs its own wikipedia page. It seems like the only pages that link to this page are the other items in the collection.
