Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Matt LaFleur. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:07, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! ― Tartan357 (Talk) 20:26, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Tartan357. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. ― Tartan357 (Talk) 03:10, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Discretionary sanctions alert
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Notice of ANI discussion
editThere is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. ― Tartan357 (Talk) 03:24, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
A belated welcome!
editHere's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Wrs1428! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:
If you don't already know, you should sign your posts on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~) to insert your username and the date.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 07:07, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Procedures
editPlease be aware that Wikipedia requires collaboration and disagreements must be resolved with civil discussion on article talk pages. See WP:DR for information about resolving disputes. The bottom line is that such resolution takes time and requires patience. You will be blocked if any further personal attacks against other editors are made. Questions can be asked at WP:Teahouse. Johnuniq (talk) 08:36, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- If I can just add something to Johnuniq's statement above on the question of freedom of speech. Wikipedia is a privately owned website, hosted on servers that are themselves private property. It's not a public forum where the concept of freedom of speech applies - it's private property, which you are permitted to edit, but only insofar as you agree to abide by the Terms of Use (there's a link just above the 'Publish changes' button when you edit). You should familiarise yourself with them, because they constrain what you may post anywhere on the site. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 13:39, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
@Wrs1428: At User talk:Tartan357#Why? you posted "Why are you taking down every single one of my edits? STOP!" without a signature. Disagreements regarding articles must be discussed on the talk page of the relevant article (not user talk). Also, if you change an article, it is up to you to justify why the change is needed. Sometimes asking why a change has been reverted might be ok, but in general if you want a change you need to say why, preferably mentioning standard procedures including policies or guidelines.
Warning: You must not repeat disputed edits, particularly in articles related to American politics. Instead, discuss issues on article talk. You will be blocked if disputed changes are restored without consensus. Johnuniq (talk) 02:21, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 2024 Indiana gubernatorial election
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 2024 Indiana gubernatorial election requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. // Timothy :: talk 15:04, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
2024 United States presidential election in Wisconsin moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, 2024 United States presidential election in Wisconsin, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
