Important Notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in discussions about infoboxes and to edits adding, deleting, collapsing, or removing verifiable information from infoboxes. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Welcome! edit

Hello, Willydrach, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Please don't restore removed comments edit

If a user removes a post on their page as unwelcome, please do not restore it as you did here. Nothing good can come of it. See Wikipedia:Don't restore removed comments. Thank you. Bishonen | talk 04:16, 13 December 2018 (UTC).Reply

@Bishonen: You got it. It was immature of me and I should probably go apologize to SchroCat, if he accepts. I'm trying to become a contributor here and hope to have my place but am struggling with the amount of scrutiny and criticism I've been getting. Few editors have extended their arms to me and the only one I can think of would be Insertcleverphrasehere. He's been very helpful. The last RfC I hosted I was called a sock, a troll and a SPA among other things. I'm a gearhead and hope to update car pages on here, but will need help and guidance being a new editor and I don't think I'm going to get any.
Just gotta deal with that I guess and move forward. willydrachtalk 15:38, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sorry if I didn't extend my arms. I have been criticised for as little as clicking thank-you when it relates to infoboxes, so am extra careful, perhaps too much so. We have a few, very few, articles with repeated infobox discussions, and we have plenty of articles without infobox where the talk page says it's wanted. Perhaps go for those? My remedy: I write articles from scratch, and so far nobody has interfered. - Happy editing! Wikipedia is a large projects, and I am sure you'll find corners where your contributions are welcome. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:37, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Help edit

ps: If you think you need help, just ask here, - I'll watch. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:41, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Gerda Arendt: Thank you for the kind words! I'm working on creating an article on Marlin Czajkowski, the owner and founder of Marlin Crawler and a 4x4 legend. That article will have an infobox for sure. :) willydrachtalk 22:11, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Great! Any link to sandbox or draft space? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:14, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Not quite sure what the sandbox is, but I've been compiling interviews and articles so I can be as comprehensive as possible. I'd like to find copyright free images if possible as well! It's quite a process!willydrachtalk 22:19, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
User:Willydrach/Sandbox is something where you can draft whatever, including an article, or you could create it in User:Willydrach/Marlin Czajkowski, and then move to mainspace when ready. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:17, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Impressed: List of people considered father or mother of a field. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:20, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Key to an article about him will be independent sources. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:32, 13 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service edit

Hi willydrach! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|willydrach|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Message delivered to you with love by Yapperbot :) | Is this wrong? Contact my bot operator. | Sent at 18:02, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
