I'm not going to suggest Will Dockery gets removed, since you seem to be deserving of an article (sorry about the tentativeness, but my knowledge of American Poetry is about zero). I have added my name to this list D section, and Demon House Theatre, which includes references, including the registration of this example Minicomics in the Library of Congress Copyright Office and the Who's Who of American Comic Books.

From the Introduction of the Who's Who of American Comic Books 1928-1999: "The Who's Who of American Comic Books is a database designed to document the careers of people who have contributed to or supported the publication of original material in U.S. comic books in the years 1928-99. It is not a checklist, but rather a resume of a person's creative career. Each resume covers not only a person's comics career, but as much information as could be located about his/her other creative and professional work in advertising, prose, TV, animation, syndication, and other sister fields and professions. I'll spend some time getting to know the area better before I do /too/ much, although I hope to begin by writing a piece [already written, just need to copy and paste it and edit it] on Royston Ellis, an obscure English poet who knew the Beatles... and suggested they change their name from /Beetles/ to /Beatles/.

Minicomics

Hi, Will. It's great that you want to add more depth to the Minicomic article, but may I suggest a different approach. A list like the one you're adding, since it could potentially be very long, probably belongs in a separate article - List of minicomics creators - with a "See also" link from the main article. See Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists) and Wikipedia:Embedded list. Also, although it's really tempting to try to make Wikipedia the most authoritative guide to every single minicomic/zine artist, I don't think it's really possible or desirable. This stuff (especially postal addresses) changes so often, and there are so many people who just do one or two things, that it's like trying to put the phone book in WP. It'd be more appropriate to make the list just include "notable" artists - an incredibly vague guideline, but basically I'd include people who have produced a considerable body of work and/or been widely recognized by critics outside the zine scene, like Feazell or Porcellino: basically the same criteria you'd use to decide whether someone's ready for their own Wikipedia article, and the WP guidelines for lists (see above) state that list articles should really be lists of links to things that have their own articles. There should certainly also be external links to web resources that provide up-to-date listings, addresses, etc. - preferably ones that are not also distros/stores (since that's sort of like giving the WP seal of approval to one particular business), but that one site you added might be OK if it's not the only one. All good points, and at the very least I'll move the list to a seperate annex, and trim the list from obvious unknowns... which I could probably use feedback on, since my remembrance of small press comix are from the 1980s mostly. I would still like to keep some of the creators who are legendary in small press, but by the very nature of small press, are not known to the general public, such as Tim Corrigan, Steve Keeter, Ian Shires, et al.

Sounds good - someone who's done a lot in their field is notable whether the general public (most of whom don't read any minicomics at all) knows about it or not; ultimately we should have articles on such guys, and it sounds like you have a lot to contribute.

Also, another Wikipedia tip: when someone leaves you a talk page note, it's best to reply on their talk page (and sign it with ~~~~) - even though it makes it harder to follow the conversations at a glance, they're more likely to see the reply. ←Hob July 4, 2005 15:53 (UTC)

If the instructions on the project page did not state things clearly enough and instead puzzled or misled you, I send you my apologies. The pages named A-Z, ordered under the heading "Alphabetical listing", are intended to provide a directory of topics from the JE which are missing from Wikipedia. If you wish to integrate text from a JE entry into Wikipedia, either click on the red link on the list to start a new article (if Wikipedia lacks that topic), or merge the text into an appropriate, pre-existing Wikipedia article. JE text should be pasted onto proper articles in Wikipedia, not onto the pages allocated for the directory.

In your case, you are interested in adapting the JE articles on Baal and Golem for Wikipedia. Because Wikipedia already has entries on these topics, any additional information that you find on the JE should go into the existing Wikipedia articles entitled Baal and Golem. I have moved the work you did on the JE texts from the directory into an extension of your user page: User:Will_Dockery/Temp. You can edit and revise the texts there to your heart's content before inserting them into the actual articles.

The lists for the remaining letters of the alphabet will be posted soon. In the meantime, you are welcome to work on integrating the text from any JE article into wikipedia, even if the article hasn't appeared on the lists currently available.

P.S. Only the text of the 1901-6 edition of the Jewish Encyclopedia, available at http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com, has entered the public domain and can therefore be freely copied into Wikipedia. I have just noticed that you are basing your research on the 1962 Jewish Encyclopedia, which probably remains protected by copyright. Since you intend to acknowledge and rewrite the 1962 material into your own words, that should not pose any problems of copyright infringement.

If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). J. Edward Wilson deletion

A shame that the quite notable J. Edward Wilson's biography was deleted... having been a famous television and radio commentator, newpaper Thursday Newspaper publisher, as well as Special Assitant to two Columbus, Georgia mayors, it seems he made the notability grade and then some.

All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Hello, I created this page on Dick Campbell with the intention of posting what I had and then shaping it for Wikipedia standards, as far as references and so on.

As far as notability, Dick Campbell is considered to be the ultimate "New Dylan" or follower on the folk-rock bandwagon, as this site explains: Top 10 Next Dylans. Seems to be an important piece of cultural history, maybe there's a sub-scetion in Wikipedia that already covers this that this could be added to, if not a stand-alone piece? Thank you, Ghmyrtle, yes, the report I got the news from was from family and personal friends of Tommy Brown, including his son, an Atlanta, Georgia Judge. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Will Dockery. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hello, Will Dockery. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
