David Poore

Hey, just added citations and contributed cleanup to David Poore wiki. Tagged as COI since January as subject did own work on page. Is it suitable for removing COI tag? Also is it no longer a stub? Marktristan (talk) 15:39, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:15, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Friends (band)

First of all, thank you for refining the Friends (band) page. I would like to call to question the legitimacy of your Notability tag though. I do not consider myself to have the authority, so I haven't tried to removed it. However I would like to bring to your attention that Friends has been featured in the major publications Nylon (magazine), Dazed & Confused (magazine), and The Irish Times, among other publications and websites, and is an artist available on iTunes. They have performed extensively both nationally and internationally, and have a wildly growing international fan-base. On these merits alone, I believe they satisfy the notability criteria to be featured in Wikipedia, and deserve such for the international community. I appreciate your consideration, and hope that you would agree by removing the tag. Sincerely, Americanhaute (talkcontribs)

European World of Bluegrass

Thanks for taking care and being busy with the article. You ask me/us to deliver evidence and name sources. My source is EBMA (google) the umbrella orginsation in Europe. To them I ask questions send email to verify texts and get agreement and support. Most of the lines/text I got from several people working for or with mentioned organisations and on top I judge my own presence at the festival. I write about what I see and hear guided by professional auditing procedures (most of them are mental maps). I am working as an professional thirth party auditor (voluntary).

You wrote: This article needs references that appear in reliable third-party publications. Primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject are generally not sufficient for a Wikipedia article. Please add more appropriate citations from reliable sources. (July 2011)
Question: What kind of sources do you need extra to be mentioned? Can you be specific? I could invite you to come over and see for yourself at the festival in May next year :-). Greetz Guffens (talk) 06:09, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Congratulations on your patience with one of the more dreadful (if unintentionally funny) articles that I remember seeing. I was about to send it off to AfD, but I'll wait a week; I created this AfD instead. -- Hoary (talk) 00:34, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello Hoary, and thank you for your kind words! I really had no idea what was going on with that article, but it did appear to me that it may have been taking some abuse. I actually still had that revision history open on my desktop when your message came in, anticipating that further edits may become active after I moved onto something else. I'll keep an eye on this one with you, while you decide whether it's a keeper or not. Have yourself a great day Hoary. Happy editing! :)  -- WikHead (talk) 01:07, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Lace Around the Wound

Hi WikHead! I think we may have been editing at the same time. Somehow, the citations I added to backup my data no longer appear. Do you mind if I re-insert those references? Thanks so much. Mayanalda Mayanalda (talk) 06:32, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

I appreciate your cleaning it up! It's strange, because it looks like some of the refs I added don't show up. For example, after "Daily parted ways with the label" I use the reference: "http://www.allmusic.com/artist/eg-daily-p26323/biography," but a different reference shows. Does it appear that way to you? Thanks! :-) Mayanalda (talk) 06:53, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: Beat of My Heart

Duff herself called it Dance, Pop, and Techno. The reference is a documentary released with her deluxe edition of Dignity. So why question what she says? That's messed up. Here is someone's upload of the documentary I found: Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 1 , Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 2, Hilary Duff - At Home With Hilary Part 3. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 22:33, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

I think I fixed it. I don't know if there's a wiki link for techno, so I didn't post one. but it's fixed now. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 22:45, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

I just wanted to let you know I'm not doing anymore work on anything to do with Hilary Duff mainly cause I do not believe things on her stuff are being done like an artist page should but that's my opinion. I'm just gonna stick with Taylor Swift, Hannah Montana and Scooby-Doo. I'm better at those then hers cause I don't understand how just cause she was an actress turn singer that she shouldn't have her "artist" stuff done like most artist pages on here. So I'm just gonna let it be done as other thinks and just not have anymore contribution to her stuff. I'm just gonna stick to the things I do better at. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 01:44, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

You're fine, I just feel I that if I back off and stop I won't do anything to upset others or get my account blocked, etc. I've seen how things go on here and I just have had better luck working on other stuff. Some contributors do that. They stick to what they are good at. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 16:30, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi WikiHead! Thanks for responding so quickly. When follow your directions the image still doesn't show up. Yet a file at Wikipedia has been created @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:%22%22Motor-Cycle%22_LP_cover-Lotti_Golden.jpg I don't know what to do. Hello Wikihead--you are so helpful, thank you. The problem is now solved! Thanks for the welcome WikHead...

I notice you've added a notability concern to the Mango Blog entry - this is notable software, and I can back this up with citations/references.

Please be assured that I am only adding notable software; there are (at least) twenty CFML blog packages out there, but I'm not creating pages for all of them - only two of them are worthy of encylopaedia articles.

In general, I'm in the process of creating several stubs - all the software I'm creating pages for is sufficiently notable for Wikipedia, but I'm only one person so it is taking time. I hope you'll bear with me and assume good faith as I create these stubs, which will enable me to better encourage other people to get involved and improve the documentation of notable CFML software on Wikipedia. Thanks, Peter Boughton (talk) 18:10, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough. My intent was to create stubs that I could then go and convince other people to improve (easier to say "here's a page, why not add a bit" vs "why doesn't someone create a page") instead of doing everything myself, but I see what you're saying, and I'll try to work on creating 'chunkier' stubs that indicate the significance/importance of their subject. A minor quibble about section formatting

Please do not remove blank lines after section headings, as you did at 8-track tape. They do not affect the rendering of the article, but they do make editing easier. Thanks! Jeh (talk) 17:49, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Sure, both styles are acceptable. But there seems to be a general principle against edits that merely change some aspect of article formatting from one accepted style to another (assuming it was consistently formatted in the first place). This is stated explicitly re. several things: spelling choices (e.g. UK vs. American English), date formatting, and reference templates, to my certain recollection; all such MOS guidelines say, in way or another, "follow existing formatting in an article." I haven't found a general statement to this effect for all such cases, but it seems to me to be a good guideline: If an article is formatted one way, I shouldn't just up and change it to another way just because "I like it that way." If nothing else, such edits increase other editors' workload when checking through diffs. I'll also note that there is a mild preference in WP for blank lines after section heads, as that is what you get when you use the "new section" button on a talk page. And I'll let it go at that; last reply is yours. Thank you for considering my points. Jeh (talk) 18:23, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Adminship?

I see that you've been doing a stellar job of minor editing and I came here considering giving you a barnstar. Instead, I'll give you food for thought. Have you ever considering adminship? I notice that your talk page is full of thank you messages just like most successful RFAs that I've encountered over the years. You have plenty of experience with gnome editing. If you had the tools, then it would benefit the project by having protection tools in the right hands. RFA commentators are much more tolerant of a contributor with single purpose like you than what they were a few years ago. I don't know if you have any skeletons in your closest but you editing looks stellar. I looked through your recent editing in detail including your excellent job of nomination speedy deletions. Would you accept an RFA nomination from me? Royalbroil 01:59, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Sure, take as much time as you want. I waited a while so that I could understand the process better. Maybe you want to review the pending and recent RFA nominations so that you can see what commenters have to say. Let me know if you want to proceed. Royalbroil 02:31, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
That's fine with me, take whatever time you need. You are right, the main criticism that people would probably have with you is that you're not well-rounded and that is what I suggest you become if it's a direction that you want to head at some point. People with a lot less experience than you have been admins for a long time. I have less edits that you do but that's a poor metric of experience. You're right, I do not have time to mentor and I've never been inclined to accept mentoring. The best that I can offer is suggestions for ways to make your more interesting to RFA commentators, and you already understand them. I see a major difference between what admins and non-admins expect from a candidate. An experienced admin is looking more for someone who's easy to work with and has the necessary experience. Adminship is not such as big deal to them. Non-admins make adminship into being a big deal and afford too much respect to the "position". I give as much respect to admins as I do for someone who paid their dues but don't have the mop. Remember, we are all people typing on our keyboard. Royalbroil 04:59, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Sure, you can send me an email at any time. I don't check it daily so you might want to leave a heads up on my talk page - except if you don't mind waiting a few days. Royalbroil 02:41, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Note of thanks.

Santur edits

Thank you for replying and cleaning up the page. I spent a few hours reviewing the edit History and finally got to the bottom of how this page turned into a mess. In the past 12 months a Wiki user by the name of: Musiclover81 has gradually changed the contents, pictures, definition and history of Santur There are names on there that are repeated and after searching YouTube, some of the names are written backwards in in different orders....in Arabic writing. Which when you read the list, some of Iraqi names are repeated with the first, middle and last names written in various orders. when you search the word Santur in Google, after the Santur Corporation which is an electronic company Wikipedia/santur comes in 2nd www.santur.com is 3rd ----there's a reason for that: My father has been playing this instrument for 65 years and I've been playing it for 35 So there are over 300 reputable accomplished Iranian Santur players, do I have the right to post everyone's name on the Santur page?? what's the limit ??

I'm sorry I'm annoyed and probably giving you a headache, I just want to get to the bottom of this and be done with it. Below is the real description of what the Santur is and it's very clean, detailed and technically correct. It's not my own knowledge, it's information I gathered from my father & Professor Bruno Nettl (Chicago Urbana University) who's the another lead figure in Ethnomusicology and I'm going to gather my citations and edit this when I've learned how to do it the right way:

Proposed new page version
This was my edit from yesterday and it was deleted and reverted back to what's on there now. In my edit: I eliminated the History, because it's false information that can't be proven

The santur (also santūr, santour, santoor ) (Persian: سنتور) is a Persian hammered dulcimer. It is a trapezoid-shaped box often made of walnut wood. The mallets (Mezrabs) are feather-weight and are held by the thumb, index and middle fingers. The 72 string Persian santur has two sets of bridges, providing a range of approximately three octaves. The right-hand strings are made of a copper or brass strings, while the left-hand strings are made of steel. Two rows of 9 bridges called "kharak" (total of 18 kharaks) divide the santur into three octaves. Over each bridge crosses four strings spanning horizontally across the right and left side of the instrument. There are three sections of nine pitches: each for the bass, middle and higher octave called Poshte Kharak (behind the left bridges) comprising 27 bridges all together. The top "F" note is repeated 3 times, creating a total of 24 separate tones in the Santur. The Persian santur is primarily tuned to a variety of different diatonic scales utilizing 1/4 tones (semi-tones) which are designated into 12 Dastgah's (modes) of Persian classical music. These 12 Dastgah's are the repertory of Persian classical music known as the Radif.

Derivations:

Similar forms of the santur have been present in neighboring cultures like India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Turkey, Iraq and Greece. The Indian santoor is wider, more rectangular and has more strings. Its corresponding mallets are also held differently played with a different technique. The Chinese yangqin and the Greek santouri also derived from the santur. The eastern Europe version of the santur called the cimballum which is much larger and chromatic is used as an accompanying instrument in gypsy music.

I appreciate your time and energy with this. Sincerely, Afshin Santurman (talk) 6:30am, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

Santur edits

dear WikiHead, thank you for your message, you & user N2E have helped me a lot and I appreciate that a lot. yesterday you cleaned up the page and then all the work you did was deleted by User: 24.48.49.136 so there's no Talk for that user, I went on his/her page and created a Talk and explained my edits and intentions. it seems like this user is annoyed by my edits like you mentioned. what I don't understand is why he changed what you did?? and then first took my picture off and than put it back and then restored the crappy Upside down picture of the Santur *(that the original uploader apologized and asked for someone to put a better picture up) which I did, but now there are two pictures and you might not know anything about the Santur, but take a look. Does the page need both?? any way is that User an employee of Wikipedia?? trying not to ask to many questions at once :) thanks --Santurman (talk) 02:50, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

I made a new page for my father

Thanks to you, I decided to just add one picture to the Santur page and then take a night off until I have some Talk with those editors you mentioned. Then I figured the only way I can actually learn this the right way would be to add a new page and go for it. I looked at Yo-Yo Ma page he's a famous cello player and I figured it out. Boy I wish I knew what I know now a few days ago, I don't think anyone woulda shut me down with my edits. I thought the new page was perfect and then I noticed I screwed something up. there's a red link at the top of the page that says: Template:Farsi it has to do with the Music Box on the right. I'm gonna put a talk on there and see if someone will help. Checkout the page, if you see anything weird will you give a shine? New Page: Manoochehr Sadeghi Master of the Santur thanks Santurman (talk) 15:41, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the cleanup

Yo-Yo Ma. what a name: that's why he's famous and he's also an awesome musician but the name took him over the top. my dad would be a lot bigger too if he had a cool funky name lol I just added the categories. Thank you for the kick in ass, you got me going. My dad's way cool and has done a lot more, I still need to put is Discography, Videography etc... But this was a good start and by doing this, I learned a lot about how things work not worried about that header, like I said I used Yo Yo Ma's page as a guide to make dad's look pro. I tried to make page for my father a year ago, didn't have one citation, nothing and it was up for like 6 months and then it got deleted. So now that I've done it right, I hope it stays and that'll make me not worry about the Santur page as much. I got enough real info on the new one. and the know-how to chip away at the other. talk to you soon, Santurman (talk) 17:07, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Global Protests from October 15

Please change the name back I can't figure out how to do it and I've tried.

There is and has been a proposal to move/merge the article with "Occupy" Protests, which has been shot down and opposed. And there has been a discussion on the Occupy Protests page about creating a new a article on the Broad Based Global Protests of 2011, but there hasn't been agreement. And then this guy Knowledgekid87 just goes and changes the name to an article that never had a MOVE or NAme change banner or on-going discussion/vote, when we are having this discussion within the other page.

How can I stop the name change and reverse it. I don't know what to do?

Firstly, assume good faith. Secondly, abide by Wikipedia:Civility and third do not act in a threatening manner or this will indeed be taken to a higher level. Yids2010 (talk) 02:10, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Your good faith should not expire if you are editing articles that require collaboration. I have sorted the problem, not because you said, because I for one am not interested in wasting my time in an argument with another user so I am comprimising. Perhaps in the future you will do the same. Yids2010 (talk) 02:50, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Template:Comparison of cooking fats

I put reflist inside the template. You then surrounded reflist by noinclude. Looks the same to me. If you don't mind me asking, what does the noinclude command do? --@Efrat (talk) 08:58, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for answering me so fast (at my talk page) The noinclude tag is certainly a useful one to remember when creating a reflist inside a template. I like it. TY for the lesson. --@Efrat (talk) 09:24, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

I think I prefer template refs to be kept inside the template and article refs at the bottom of the page. Just my humble opinion. But what is the majority view on refs in or out of templates?--@Efrat (talk) 09:39, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

reflist|group="lower-alpha" Interesting. Gotta write that one down! As far as tis particular template, I like it now but I'll leave it to you and others to make the final decision.--@Efrat (talk) 10:06, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

(Questions about) disruptive editing

I noticed your comments on User talk:69.255.214.78, who has yet again deserved a warning, this time for changes on The Exploited. Since you already gave a final warning it seems stupid to add just another one. Do these templates require any further action or is this automated? I'm a noob on this, so I'd appreciate some help. Quibus (talk) 16:13, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi WikHead
Thanks for your quick and helpful reply. I figured out most of it, but got lost in the Wiki help files (forest and trees and such) and your explanation just made it clear. So, I've added another warning on the users talk page for admin sake, in addition to the reply I made at a post by this user on the bands talk page; we'll see how it goes from there. If I find out more about our 'unanswered questions' I'll let you know. Quibus (talk) 15:19, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Richard E Shaw

Hi wikhead again many thanks for all your help! I have a question I hope you dont mind me contacting you about it! When I enter in the search bar - Richard Shaw for example Richard E Shaw does not appear with the other Richard Shaws that come up? this is what it states:

Richard Shaw dab-page results
Richard Shaw may refer to:
  • Richard Shaw (MP for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis), MP for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis (UK Parliament constituency)
  • Richard G. Shaw (born 1943), West Virginia insurance commissioner
  • Richard Norman Shaw (1831–1912), British architect
  • Richard Shaw (footballer) (born 1968), English football player
  • Bushwick Bill, American rapper and member of Houston rap group Geto Boys
  • Richard Shaw (MP) (1825–1876), British Member of Parliament for Burnley 1868–1876
  • Ricky Shaw, American football player
  • Richard Shaw (actor) (1920–2010), British actor

It would be great for it to come up with the other Richard Shaw's like above for example -

  • Richard E Shaw (Footballer / Soccer Player) (born 17th February 1977 Blackpool England)

What Do I need to do? for this to appear with the list of Richard Shaw's?

I hope its not a silly question and I hope that asking you this question has not annoyed you! many thanks for your help! DJ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soccertv1 (talkcontribs) 13:25, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Lepeshka

I truly do want to flesh out the article on Lepeshka, as I believe I have pictures somewhere on my computer, and I can write a description as well. However, if you feel it should be deleted within the next few days if not fixed, I defer to your more senior position within the Wikipedia Community. If there is another place where the article can be moved, such as a place where the pages can be edited by members but less visible than it is right now, I would also approve of that. GreenGibbon (talk) 14:55, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

  • Yes I have done that,thanks,time to rest and good night.Justice007 (talk) 00:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
  • 1. Good morning WikHead, both articles seen, constructive help, happy to look at,learning much. Three "External links" to Birbal Jha are dead, but those don't harm the Verifiability of the article.Other external links content is same which is already cited,I do not think many of those are needed, may be few I use,if there is some new content.Relating Tahir Naqvi, good help, actually in that is also similar text which has been cited, for more verifiability I will cite them anyhow.I am just helping to improve and expand the articles around that subject of area,as I am faimlair of that.I realy appreciate your kind assistance.I will come time to time on your talk page for your assistance.Cheers.Justice007 (talk) 11:33, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
  • 2. I had seen that, you perhaps did not take a look above mentioned my review.I have already check the external links sources content, there is nothing new that can be helpful to improve the article, but well as you suggested for more verifiability,I may cite couple of newspapers more. Yes you did a lot of work while I was sleeping and resting. So that is the wikipedia, some times work of days in one click is deleted.Pleaase do not regret it.Once again thanks for your kind assistance.Justice007 (talk) 16:46, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Power Hungry Censorship!

Rants of a disruptive, indef blocked sock
I'm extremely annoyed at the way my edits are being censored without merit whatsoever! I recently made revisions to "Helter Skelter (Manson scenario)" based on facts which can be verified. However, I'm continually being wrongly accused of "unconstructive" or "disruptive" edits which is NOT my intent at all! In addition, my edit has been reverted several times for no apparent legitimate reason! The only thing I can figure is perhaps certain individuals are afraid of any new revelations that just might derail everything they have been trained to believe. So, the only course of action is obviously to censor those who don't agree with sensationalistic garbage. Well, my plan is to appeal these wrongful actions against me and make certain as many people as possible are informed about this. I'm going to publicly reveal everything that has been done to me and let everyone know how "Wikipedia" censors people who truly haven't done anything wrong simply because they THINK they can! ATWA WOLF — Preceding unsigned comment added by ATWA WOLF (talkcontribs) 18:58, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
RE To WikHead.
I got your response and I would like to clarify something. I did NOT blank out a whole page nor have I made ANY edit which could be considered as "disruptive" by ANY means! I simply made slight corrections to reflect facts which were not mentioned previously on the page in question. If any of you want to take this a step further, that's fine. I'll just post about it on my blog so everyone can be made aware of your unfair actions towards me. I haven't taken any action as of yet but I WILL if necessary! I don't think what you people are doing is fair and your power hungry censorship is unfounded! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ATWA WOLF (talkcontribs) 19:24, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Mercedes-Benz C215

Under the Heading Mercedes C215 there is not such animal. The car is classified as a CL or W215 but not C215. The C Class or W203 or C203 starts about a 30k and goes up from there where the base W215 starts and 93k and goes up to 160k. Also, the information about speed starting in 2003 with the new bi-turbo V12 5.5 litre 0-60 times are totally incorrect. The V-12 is the exact same speed from 0-60 as the AMG V8 Supercharged, both are 4.2 seconds. The Cl600 startng in 2003-2006 is actually faster at top speeds and has a much shorter 1/4 mile time at a much higher speed. Those are facts that can be found on any sight on the internet. Would you mind correcting this mis-information. You can also check this information with the MBZ websight. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Showcarcollector (talkcontribs) 01:32, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for your response.

I can edit the information and I only get my information from Mercedes Benz itself. I never use an outside source when I can get it straight from the websight. My conflict is I have no way of knowing how to change the heading from Mercedes C215 to Mercedes CL215 or W215. I would think that would only be limited to the websight and not just anyone. I will edit the content to reflect the MBZ sight but please if you would correct the heading for me. Thank you again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Showcarcollector (talkcontribs) 05:04, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

I understand

I also have the European Version of the book and it too is called the CL. I bought the CL EURO version from Germany by accident on Ebay and had to buy another American version. They differ slightly but the name didn't change. I don't know who or why anyone would be so ignorant esp. if they owned one. I happen to own a 2006 CL 600 with only a few miles in my museum and so I research all my cars to the letter before even beginning to assume anything I read. It must come from the source before I believe what I read, never second hand. Thank you again for redirecting it so that when you type in the W215 or Cl Class that it does direct to this article, wrong as it is. I now will have to go into the meat of the body and correct other inconsistency's and Ill get the citation for the changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Showcarcollector (talkcontribs) 16:43, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm new and I got a false positive

Would you assist me, please? I wrote changes for an article called Linea Pelle and it needed major cleanup in order to not look like an advertisement. So I deleted paragraphs of flashy language and slimmed the article down to more fact-based statements, and then a bot reverted my changes and gave me a warning. So I reported a false positive to the bot, but I don't know if I did it correctly. And my changes are still not showing on the Linea Pelle article. Would you mind checking out what I did and seeing if you also agree that it was a false positive? I don't know what to do. Thanks, Wikhead! If you want IPA, I'm guessing it's /ˈwɪk.hɛd/. Add a 2nd pipe at the end plus the sound file (leave off the "file:"). IPA with mouseover, /ˈwɪk.hɛd/. Add "audio=" at the beginning for a sound file. I take it the near homophony with "wicked" is intentional? For some reason I didn't catch that until I heard the sound file. — kwami (talk) 01:17, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
It sounds fine to me. I thought it was an effect you were going for: "wicked", as in "bad-ass", as a kind of subtext in addition to being a wikipedia-head. — kwami (talk) 01:41, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
  • "Wicked" is also Boston slang meaning something like "very" or maybe "very cool". Neotarf (talk) 17:00, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Re: Etienne Sin AfD

Hi Wikhead, thanks for the kind words - likewise on the great work you do. I'm with you regarding the redirects and I appreciate the clarification at the AfD. Like you said, they are often overlooked so any step to ensure they don't slip through the cracks here is a good thing. Cheers!  Gongshow Talk 04:02, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for sorting out my footnotes

I was going to tackle it after work, and was not looking forward to spending the evening puzzling out yet more unfamiliar markup. Thanks. Neotarf (talk) 17:00, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

editing the key to the species

Thank you for fixing the links that I messed up (I guess by locating them wrongly). I would like to make the key to the species in the Naraoia page better readeable by putting the numbers and the hyphens on the same line as the following text, but I tried everything and nothing worked. You seem knowledgeable on wiki syntax, so perhaps you can help. Thanks in advance. Dwergenpaartje (talk) 08:03, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
