Fair Use

edit

Hello, I see you recently uploaded several screenshots from a movie and added them to an article as "Fair Use". Note, to truly be fair use, the images must meet several requirements noted Here. Essentially they need to illustrate the article as a subject of some analysis or critical commentary, and should be as small as possible to get the point across. Uploading a photo gallery does not fall under those requirements. I've left the one small picture for now, but that is likely to be removed as well, as our requirements (which are stricter than copyright law requires) say that a picture of a living person must be free (i.e., not fair use) unless the picture is irreplaceable and is specifically discussed in the article. That photo just to show what she looks like does not meet that requirement. CrowTalk 16:18, 30 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Jasmin (actress)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jasmin (actress) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Ways to improve List of village in Patedhi Belsar block vaishali district

edit

Hi, I'm Husain007. Vickysingh007bond, thanks for creating List of village in Patedhi Belsar block vaishali district!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I suggest you change the name of article, and make it shorter and clearer. Or this article can be merged into Vaishali District article as a section

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. ~Mohammad Hossain~ 10:10, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

List of village ... pages

edit

I don't really see the point of these lists, but at least be consistent in your titles, which you are not being. Your capitalisation and use of commas is all over the place:

List of villages in Goraul Block, Vaishali District

is one where you seem to have it right. But most look like:

List of village in Patedhi Belsar block vaishali district

No "s" for plural, no comma after '"block", no capital "V" in vaishali

"List of village ..." is not correct, it should be "List of villages ... ", that is plural as it's a list not just one village.--220 of Borg 19:30, 12 September 2014 (UTC) (altered message 220 of Borg 19:57, 12 September 2014 (UTC))Reply

Edit summaries

edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. 220 of Borg 18:35, 12 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Skj law college b.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Skj law college b.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Gadai sarai

edit

Hello, Vickysingh007bond,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Gadai sarai should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gadai sarai .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Your recent edits

edit

Your edits are appreciated. A few of suggestions:

Please pay attention to your formatting. Please inspect articles, newspapers, books, and everything in English you have been reading for years. It is important to capitalize proper nouns. See Basawan Singh Indoor Stadium, for example. You must know that hajipur should be Hajipur. You must also know that we use spaces around punctuation. Instead of this:

  • I like bunnies(rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too
Try this:
  • I like bunnies (rabbits). They are not only cute, but friendly too.

You see, a space must come after a comma. And a full stop, or a period, a "." comes at the end of a sentence. Surely you have seen these for years. Please, continue to create valuable articles like you do. But, please try to work on your formatting so that we do not have to spend ages fixing mistakes. Many, many thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:40, 5 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your creations

edit

Hi, Vicki.

Here is a small sample of your most recent creations:

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, could you please try to check your recent page creations and fix some of the following issues?

  • The first letter of proper names are capitalized. Not bihar but instead Bihar.
  • Consistency, such as in a list with "Males" and "females", please capitalize both. So females would be Females.
  • Spaces around punctuation, like I pointed out right above: C.D.Block would be C.D. Block
  • ( example) is (example)
  • Population : 12345 is Population: 12345
  • Periods come at the ends of sentences.
  • Lalganj(community development block) is Lalganj (community development block)

Example:

  • Your sentence: It covers three major Districts ( vaishali district ,Muzaffarpur district and East Champaran district of Bihar state
  • The same sentence corrected: It covers three major districts (Vaishali District, Muzaffarpur district and East Champaran district of Bihar state).

Do you see the difference? Please, take a minute or two and study the two sentences.

We really appreciate you contributions. The problem is just that when you create lots of articles and leave them in such a state, others have to come along and fix them. What you are doing is not against any rules, and nobody will act against you or anything. I am just asking as a favour to help save us all a lot of time. Also, I know that you have been reading English all your life, and should be able to notice missing spaces or Bihar written incorrectly as bihar. Thank you very kindly for your understanding. More

edit

Well, you just made more: State Highway 48 (Bihar), State Highway 49 (Bihar), and others. Please take a look. Please, no space comes before a comma. Please, no space comes before a full stop. Please, a full stop (period) goes at the end of a sentence.

In advance for your help going through your articles and saving us all a lot of work, I say: "thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you". Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:34, 28 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited State Highway 74 (Bihar), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vaishali. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Electric Supply Division ( Hajipur )

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Electric Supply Division ( Hajipur ) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have moved this page to Draft:Electric Supply Division ( Hajipur ). It did not have any prose content at all, and was thereby subject to speedy deletion, but I have moved it to draft space to allow you to develop it further. Feel free to ask me for advice, or to post at the Teahouse. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 23:02, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Electric Supply Division ( Hajipur )

A tag has been placed on Draft:Electric Supply Division ( Hajipur ), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
