Copyright problem: Microsoft Edge version history

Hello KCCian24! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Microsoft Edge version history, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted material from other websites or printed works. This article appears to contain work copied from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-relnote-archive-beta-channel, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate your contributions, copying content from other websites is unlawful and against Wikipedia's copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are likely to lose their editing privileges.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text to be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

See Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for a template of the permissions letter the copyright holder is expected to send.

Otherwise, you may rewrite this article from scratch. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Microsoft Edge version history saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.

Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! — Diannaa (talk) 22:54, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Page moves

Hello, KCCian24,

Please be careful with page moves. You need to have a very good reason to move an article to a different title and ideally you should start an article talk page discussion on the subject before you do an article move. We have a Manual of Style that dictates a lot of guidance about page titles and it's important to be consisten with the MOS and not just move articles to titles you prefer. If you have any questions about page titles or page moves, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:21, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

I have also removed the User categories you had on this page. We put User categories on User pages but not User talk pages. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 07:23, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright

Hello KCCian24! Your additions to Big Match have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 06:05, 2 May 2023 (UTC)

Your signature

WP:CUSTOMSIG/P says that A customised signature should make it easy to identify your username. That is not the case here, since your username is KCCian24, but you're signing posts as ŇƗΜŘØỮ Đ€ŁΔỮŘ€ŇŦƗŞ e.g. on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2026 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Please update your signature so it clearly identifies you (or request a username change if you want to be known as ŇƗΜŘØỮ Đ€ŁΔỮŘ€ŇŦƗŞ on Wikipedia). Joseph2302 (talk) 10:36, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

CS1 error on 2027 Cricket World Cup qualification

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page 2027 Cricket World Cup qualification, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator.

Sponsors

Wikipedia is not an advertising directory for the ICC, we don't need to add a list of every sponsor to 2023 Cricket World Cup. It's not encyclopedic content, and violates WP:NOTDIRECTORY and WP:NOTADVERTISING. Before attempting to re-add, please discuss at Talk:2023 Cricket World Cup and get consensus to do so. Orphaned non-free image File:CWC 2023 Sponsors.png

Thanks for uploading File:CWC 2023 Sponsors.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:16, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Nimrou N. DeLaurentis

Hello Vestrian24Bio,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nimrou N. DeLaurentis for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Nimrou N. DeLaurentis to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Disambiguation link notification for September 9

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alexander Stewart. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Confusing Cricket colours and notation

There is no such legend you are talking of and the numbers are not explained. If you can poijnt out where these things are that would be great otherwise the table is a clear violation of Manual of Style rules. PicturePerfect666 (talk) 19:28, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Template:2023 Cricket World Cup, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. MOS:BOLD, MOS:FLAG and WP:DECORATIVE were all violated there Joseph2302 (talk) 16:19, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

Flags

Stop adding flags to {{2023 Cricket World Cup}}- they violate MOS:FLAG and in particular WP:DECORATIVE. Please do not add these again. Joseph2302 (talk) 19:49, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

I Understand, But How Come WP:DECORATIVE is relevant? It redirects to Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in image deletion discussions ... There aren't any deletion discussions. 𝓥𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓷24𝓑𝓲𝓸 (ᴛᴀʟᴋ) 01:21, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

Delclined speedy deletion of Draft:2023 MTV Europe Music Awards

I have declined your speedy deletion request for Draft:2023 MTV Europe Music Awards as you did not provide a valid reason for speedy deletion. Please read and understand the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging pages for speedy deletion. Additionally, you added a request to salt the title but there is no significant history of repeated recreation. -- Whpq (talk) 13:43, 7 October 2023 (UTC)

Champions Trophy edit

Probably the dumbest edit I have seen in a while. I can only assume you didn't read the article - It doesn't contani either "Champions" or "Trophy" and talks about semi-final qualification - and is for a completely different tournament. And the apparent belief that South Africa (who qualified 3 days ago, even on the ICCs web feed) are :not confirmed" is just so utterly hilarious. How are they going to finish 9th or 10th? How? How? Please do better. 110.33.28.251 (talk) 22:12, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

November 2023

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2023 Cricket World Cup into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. SamX [talk · contribs] 14:35, 4 November 2023 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Grey Part of Blue (2019 short film)

The article The Grey Part of Blue (2019 short film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFILM

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Page moves

Hello, Vestrian24Bio,

I'm not sure why you are doing this but please stop moving around your User pages, changing your mind and then moving them to a new, different page title. Just let them be wherever they are at and work on them at that page title. Every time you move a page, it creates a Redirect page and now you probably have more Redirect pages in your User space than you do pages with actual content. All of these page moves are unnecessary. Just consider where you want a page and move it ONCE, not multiple times.

If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:16, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

I see now that I've already left a message about your page moves at User talk:Vestrian24Bio#Page moves. I guess it had no effect on your behavior. Please do not do more unnecessary page moves or it could become disruptive editing. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 06:19, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
I'm sorry about that. I haven't moved pages since your last message.
It was just until recent when I noticed a misspelt page in my User namespace; which led to the moves of it and it's subpages.
Again, I'm sorry about this. 𝓥𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓷24𝓑𝓲𝓸 (ᴛᴀʟᴋ) 11:39, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
