My name is Jethro-- just wanted to introduce myself as a fellow volunteer at the Pritzker. Welcome to the microcosm that is Wikipedia. I've been editing for a while and do all sorts of things here, so I'm your go-to person in case you need any guidance or help with your contributions. Lyrics

Hey Victoria. Just wanted to mention that in articles about songs, the lyrics to the song are generally not added unless they are explicitly discussed by a source, and in those cases, it's usually just an excerpt of the lyrics rather than all of them. With regard to songs, articles should provide information about authorship, date of publication, social impact, and so on. The full text for music lyrics is appropriate for a different project, Wikisource, and if you want to add them there, I can show you how to do that. In the meantime, could you remove the lyrics from After The War Is Over? Or, if you know a source that discusses the lyrics, you can revise the article and include the relevant portion of the lyrics. Also, just for reference here is an article I worked on last month that demonstrates the kind of detail and sources you might want to be on the lookout for when writing song articles. Re: Lyrics

Hello Jethro, thank you for letting me know! I've removed the lyrics from "After The War Is Over," and am reviewing any song pages I've done where there may still be lyrics. I am currently working on more World War I songs, so I'll keep that in mind then as well. VCJeon (talk) 19:30, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

• Hello VCJeon! Just one note on lyrics, we do allow linking to a specific lyrics provider: MetroLyrics, as they are licensed to display them so linking to them does not present a copyright issue. See Template:MetroLyrics song for more, as well as how to properly link to lyrics there. They don't have all lyrics ever written, but if a song does show up there, it is a nice External Link for the song. Crow^Talk 18:23, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
