Speedy deletion nomination of User:Ty Python edit

A tag has been placed on User:Ty Python requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here.  —SMALLJIM  22:10, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to User:Ty Python, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Ty Python (talk) 22:29, 5 May 2014 (UTC)It's ALL facts and I dont deserve my page deleted because of your bias decision to delete MY wikipedia page that i worked my BUTT off to makeReply

Hi Ty. I'm sorry, but FACTS are not enough. If you read the message above, you'll see that one of our rules is that Wikipedia is not to be used as a web hosting service. It is an encyclopedia, and not a place to talk about yourself. But let's see if another administrator agrees with me and decides to delete the page.
Once you have spent some time here, and edited some articles - i.e. done something useful, then the community is more lenient over what you can have on your user page. So I'd suggest you go to the Teahouse (as above) and ask the friendly people there what you can do to help us. Thanks,  —SMALLJIM  22:34, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you want to reply to my comment, don't delete it, but type your response underneath.  —SMALLJIM  22:43, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Ty Python (talk) 22:54, 5 May 2014 (UTC)I dont deserve my work i made by myself deleted,I worked harder than you'll ever know to make that wikipedia page. I don't appreciate you just trying take it all away just like that. Also, why should you care? It's not like millions of people will see.Reply

Why not help us by editing some of our articles instead? It's ultimately more satisfying than talking about yourself because you're helping spread knowledge about notable subjects. It's obvious that you have more than the average skill at writing, and if you were to familiarise yourself with our more important rules, you could be a great asset to Wikipedia. Again, I suggest that you go over to the Teahouse – tell them about this conversation and ask what they think you could best do to help us. Hope this helps,  —SMALLJIM  23:00, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ask a question edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Ask a question requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Ask a question, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Wikipedia articles aren't for seeking contact with other people. —Largo Plazo (talk) 01:18, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ty Python edit

Hello, Ty Python. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Ty Python".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ty Python}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:40, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
