Girl King edit

Hello Trixiecat1. I have no problem with the article you made. However I am sure many would look at it and want to delete it due to not having external references about the film. Are there any news publications of it? Any magazines talk about it? Myspace/youtube/blogs don't really count as references you see and hence why you would need additional sources. That is why I added those tags. The more references you find, the better chance the film has of being considered notable and the more chances it will stay on Wikipedia. Anyway, I am sure you will be able to work something out. Thank you for your edits and I hope you continue contributing to Wikipedia! Kind regards.Calaka (talk) 04:50, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Denis Simpson edit

You may not be on here making hundreds of edits every day like some people, but you've been around for long enough to not be a "newbie". Judging by your edit history you've certainly been around Wikipedia long enough to know that piling an entire sentence of body text directly into the reference link (as in Denis passed away in Vancouver Oct. 22, 2010, cause of death has not been released.) is not an accepted referencing format on Wikipedia. Ideally we should write the sentence and then nest the reference link in <ref> tags (i.e. Denis passed away in Vancouver Oct. 22, 2010, cause of death has not been released.<ref>[http://www.news1130.com/news/local/article/118689--denis-simpson-passes-away]</ref>), but in a pinch you can also get away with just doing this: "Denis passed away in Vancouver Oct. 22, 2010, cause of death has not been released. [1]".

And even if you were upset because he was a personal friend of yours, given the nature of how Wikipedia works how on earth is anybody supposed to know that until you actually say so ? It has nothing to do with trying to "feel important", and everything to do with the fact that I'm one of not nearly enough people on here who end up having to waste entirely too much valuable time cleaning up the same kinds of sloppy editing mistakes over and over again. It gets frustrating after a while, so I do apologize if I took it out on you unfairly. Bearcat (talk) 14:31, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
