Thank you Thalassaxeno. I mistakenly clicked the "Save" button prematurely rather than Show Preview as intended. I will include citations, remove errors, and work toward completion of the article within the next 24 hours.Tonymartin (talk) 20:10, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm Sahehco. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Glossary of Japanese words of Finnish origin, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you. Sahehco (talk) 15:45, 26 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

You should hold off on new page patrol/page curation altogether until you have more experience editing - 500 mainspace edits without issues is a good guideline. Kolbasz (talk) 16:43, 26 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

France is divided in departments , each of them is ruled by a prefect nominated by the president of the republic and has a capital or prefecture.

VAP-61 edit

Why have you tagged this as ref improve? Like most squadrons on the List of inactive United States Navy aircraft squadrons, the official US Navy history is the only source. Please be practical here Mztourist (talk) 07:05, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Pages visited edit

Thanks for visiting these pages I just recently created: Edwin Colón Zayas and Andrés Jiménez, "el Jíbaro". The speed and the quality of your assessments is inspiring. Thanks for your dedication. Cheers, Caballero/Historiador (talk) 07:55, 28 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Apocalypse Peaks edit

Please stop tagging the articles I created on geographical features in the Apocalypse Peaks as unsourced/refimprove. These are properly sourced from the USGS gazetteer, as indicated in the reference section. Review the usgs-gazetteer template for more information.

You are a very new editor - you might want to edit a few articles before patrolling new pages. Thanks, Lemnaminor (talk) 04:18, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi and welcome, Thalassaxeno. Thank you for your quick review of Semendua Airport. You probable missed it, but the page already had a stub tag, so I removed the extra one. New Page Patrol edit

Please stop reviewing new pages until you understand what you are doing. You are marking pages as reviewed which removes them from the queue when they should have been marked for deletion. INKWASH is a copyright violation. I see that you have been asked before to stop and you didn't listen. Please stop. --Majora (talk) 07:24, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Notice edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is New user improperly reviewing articles at NPP.. Thank you. Majora (talk) 09:22, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

You really need to respond at WP:ANI, not at the user's talk page. Doug Weller talk 14:33, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
It seemed more appropriate to me to leave a message on Majora's talk page, considering that it is more a response to their earlier message on mine, and less a response to the Incidents noticeboard posting. --"Forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvabit" -Aeneid, Book I, Line 203 (talk) 16:52, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Uh, no. That's why we have a noticeboard – so administrators have a central place for discussion. Majora raised the issue there, and you need to respond there. Katietalk 17:30, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Fine, I'll post the message on the noticeboard under the section Majora created. --"Forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvabit" -Aeneid, Book I, Line 203 (talk) 17:32, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

ARA Piedra Buena (P-36) edit

The dimensions in this article are grossly wrong and impossible. 11 seconds of review was not long enough. 7&6=thirteen () 19:32, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

This has now been corrected. But if you are doing a review you've got to read the article, not just Rubber stamp it without reading. It's not even possible to read and assimilate that article in its fullness in that time. The mentoring option might help you out. Good luck. 7&6=thirteen () 20:41, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
FWIW, random pages are good to work on because there is no time pressure at all. Recent changes is fertile ground. With practice you will get a feel for articles that have been changed wrongly, and look at them closely. It is also a good place if you want to get involved in antivandalism work, which is a constant need. You need to familiarize yourself with wikipedia policy. Go slow, as there is so much to learn. Go incremental, so that you only make small mistakes that can be undone. Looking at articles that are being submitted to WP:DYK, particularly by experienced editors, will teach you a lot. Think of it as a long term project. Make sure you look at the final product before you SAVE, and after you SAVE. Kind of like going to college. Best of luck. Happy New Year! 7&6=thirteen () 21:51, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Eurofluvioviridavis edit

Hi Thalassaxeno: The Eurofluvioviridavis article contains a single sentence. Do you really think we need more than one source to verify that single sentence? If so, why? MeegsC (talk) 22:00, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ἡ Βικιπαιδεία ἑλληνιστί edit

Hi there, I am contacting you here as this seems to be the wiki you are most active in. There is currently an ongoing proposal with regards to having an ancient Greek Wikipedia, accompanied by an active incubator wiki that has plenty of articles already. I thought I would let you know as you have an interest and knowledge of ancient Greek, so you're more than welcome to participate if you find it worthwhile. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers edit

Hi Thalassaxeno,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
