What is your connection to User:Dinura Pradeep Balasooriya? --bonadea contributions talk 15:05, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

To be honest, he is my husband. My true name is Achala Nagodaa Withana. I'm using Wikipedia with a nick name of Textlover, because I'm a woman and acording to our Sri lankan values women are not publicly present very often. My husband is working very hard to promote our old country music voluntarily and I have relly sympathy on him because he is doing a national service that the government should do. But our politicians don't care of our heritages. So simply I wanted encourage my husband. That's it. If you still that the article should be removed, I duck my head. But if you can kindly help me fix any errors I'm so grateful to you. Thank you very much. Textlover (talk) 15:21, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

There is no requirement that we use our real names on Wikipedia - most editors don't, and there is nothing wrong with that. There's also nothing strange about wanting to help out our spouse with their projects.
However, all editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 15:37, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's true. Sometimes we do things which don't make any sense. I understand, I really displayed my stupidity. Even my husband will not happy with me. Any way, I apologize to every body who always strive keep Wikipedia in a better standard. But I'm happy to say that I could learn a lot during this short period of time. Thank you very much for your dedication. Textlover (talk) 15:47, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Bonadea:I do not need to promote anything or mislead people saying lies to take personal advantage. I understand well that contents on Wikipedia should be in best quality standards. But, for people on earth like us, especially from such a country like Sri Lanka, it is not very easy to bring 100% accurate proofs on-line. Facilities and technology is not still enhanced like in USA or Europe. For an example there is no any method to verify my husband's primary school and his poetries which published on Sinhala Newspapers sometime ago. But if someone do search on google maps, Kamaragoda Roman Catholic Primary College is searchable. Electronic versions of local newspapers were introdud recently in Sri Lanka. Saddharmarathnakaraya is a very well known historical book in Sri Lanka. But it's impossible to verify the author Wimalakiththi Maha Sthavira. We are really helpless. I have nothing to explain more here. If you want to delete these articles, do it on your wish. Thanks. Textlover (talk) 22:12, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article is essentially identical to the previous version, and suffers from the same problem: there is no indication why the subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please note that this is true for almost every single person in the world, and it is not a reflection on whether a person is worthy or not.

As discussed above, it is strongly recommended that we do not create articles about family members or other subjects that are close to us personally. Please take a moment to read the Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. That page also has some suggestions for how you can suggest an article, or create it in a place where it will not be subject to speedy deletion. You've created the article under a different name, possibly to evade the article being salted at its main location. Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Textlover, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
