MrWalkinLick moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, MrWalkinLick, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — Newslinger talk 02:03, 28 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for this, I have requested that the page should be deleted since I can't find any new sources to add.(Techwritar (talk) 06:55, 6 December 2019 (UTC))Reply

Editing with a possible conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Techwritar. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.--SamHolt6 (talk) 18:05, 14 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay thanks for this, I appreciate and I don't have any personal relationship with the subjects I write about Techwritar (talk) 18:19, 14 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Unblock request edit

Heading added, chronological order restored ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:16, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

I observed I didn't study the sources carefully before commenting on the Afd which resulted to being blocked for sock puppet, I promise to study the references carefully next time before commenting in any Afd. As for being blocked for sock puppet, I don't think that is necessary because I'm not in any way connected to the subject and I have never been paid to edit Wikipedia Techwritar (talk) 20:05, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Welcome back: You are unblocked under the following unblock conditions:
  • Instead of directly creating articles about any topic, you will create them as "Draft:"s, which can easily be submitted for review by adding "{{subst:submit}}" at the top of the page.
  • You will not create articles nor drafts about living or recently deceased people, companies, products or commercial topics, broadly construed.
  • You will not participate in deletion discussions, especially not about articles you have any connection to.
  • You will not edit drafts that have been declined at least twice by reviewers, no matter for which reason.
These conditions are for an indefinite amount of time, and can be appealed individually at WP:AN at any time. Ideas for constructive contributions can be found at the community portal and the Task Center. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Note: This block is not purely based on technical evidence, per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Felicia112/Archive. I'll have a look later. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:16, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi ST47, could you have a quick look at the "Accept reason" at Special:PermanentLink/952709547 at User talk:NawJee? Do you think we could handle this in a similar way (i.e. do you believe the block could possibly be a mistake), or should we restrict the block appeal to checkusers/ArbCom? I wonder how strong the "Possible" is. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:21, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@ToBeFree: "possible" meaning that they seem to be in the same location, but there otherwise isn't any technical data confirming or ruling out that they are a sockpuppet. Their editing generally looks COI/PAID-ish, and for so many people from the same location to comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trevor Koverko so quickly seems unlikely, unless there was sockpuppetry or coordination. I have no "checkuser-block" objection to unblocking with conditions, if that's what you'd like to do. ST47 (talk) 01:47, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks :) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:31, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Techwritar, do you agree to the following unblock conditions?

  • You will not create articles nor drafts about living or recently deceased people, companies, products or commercial topics, broadly construed.

Yes Techwritar (talk) 13:33, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the quick agreement; I'm unblocking you. Ping ST47: See above; thanks again to you too. Let's see how this works out. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for unblocking me and I'm going to adhere to the instructions. Some articles I created where tagged paid is it still necessary, can you take a look at them.Techwritar (talk) 13:43, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome, and thanks again. Regarding the {{undisclosed paid}} tags on some articles, I won't remove them, and you should probably avoid editing these articles. This is not a strict condition, but you should probably stay away from these topics. If the article has been rewritten by a volunteer, the tags will eventually be removed. This may, however, take years, and you'll probably have to accept this. Sorry. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:46, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I accept that too, one more question which kind of articles am I permitted to write about, I really love writing and would like to start. Techwritar (talk) 13:49, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
