October 2018 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Sabrina Carpenter discography, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Inappropriate use of 'rowspan' in tables violates WP:ACCESSIBILITY, and disadvantages some of our readership. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:50, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm STATicVapor. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from Lil Peep discography. Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for June 8 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Something Different (Why Don't We song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Title track (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:Jason Derulo - 2Sides.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jason Derulo - 2Sides.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:30, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Where did you get the cover of Jason Derulo's 2Sides from? edit

Where did you get the cover of Jason Derulo's 2Sides ([1]) from? Also, I really don't believe Warner Records or whatever Derulo's label is would have licensed that for use/free redistribution by anyone. Do you have proof that they have allowed this? I also very much doubt you are the copyright holder of that work and you don't have the license for it. Just so you're aware, since you uploaded that to Commons, and it's a cover artwork that you clearly don't own or have the license to redistribute, it will most likely be deleted off there. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jason Derulo - 2Sides.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Jason Derulo - 2Sides.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Do not remove content without an explanation edit

Do not make edits like this where you remove 500 bytes of information without an explanation. Secondary sources are preferred over primary ones, so it is not desirable to be removing those and to think that the Apple Music ref, an e-commerce site, should suffice as the only source we need. So don't remove them again. Thanks. Ss112 14:21, 28 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

July 2019 edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Blanca (musician) ‎ does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Walter Görlitz (talk) 23:47, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop linking to redirects edit

This is rarely helpful when the song or album doesn't have an article and the redirect either points back to the article it's linked from or a general page like a discography, so please don't add links to songs or albums until they have an article. Thanks. Ss112 01:28, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Why are you not explaining anything you do? edit

You have been asked several times by at least two editors (including myself) to explain your edits by leaving edit summaries. Why have you not started doing this? There is no reason not to. Also, source everything you add to Wikipedia per WP:V. Thank you. Ss112 03:48, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Make sure to use reliable sources edit

The sources cited must be reliable. Also, one single Japanese publication (even if it was reliable, which PMStudio.com is not) would not be given preference over what Trainor herself specifically tweeted out. Wait for the album tracklist to be revealed or for Trainor to confirm the inclusion of "Genetics". Do not continue to edit war, thanks.--NØ 17:56, 14 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

September 2019 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Pitbull discography, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. This is the last time I will ask: provide edit summaries for your edits or I will ask an admin to intervene. More often than not, your unexplained edits are contentious changes and this is getting to be a problem. Ss112 08:23, 21 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Tom Walker (singer), you may be blocked from editing. Nice try, but I can read, and that source you cited doesn't refer to "Not Giving In" as a single. Ss112 18:58, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Tom Walker (singer) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Addition of improperly sourced material edit

Hi Tbone49. Please ensure that any claim of fact you introduce into an article is properly sourced. See WP:CITE and WP:RS. It is policy that all claims of fact that are not obviously uncontroversial must be verifiable.. See WP:V. This excludes original research and syntheses of sources to conclude something not clearly stated. See WP:SYNTH. Your contributions to the project are deeply appreciated but it is important that we all adhere to the policies and guidelines adopted by the community in order to avoid chaos and edit warring. Please regard this notice as a friendly, but formal word of caution. If you have any questions feel free to ping me or drop me a line on my talk page. I'm here to help. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 00:15, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Ad Orientem: Would it be possible for you to either give a final warning to this editor, or block them if you think it's appropriate? I informed you about them months ago for adding unsourced information. They have been up to it again, given Magnolia677's warning just above. I have reverted them for removing sourced information both at The Chainsmokers discography (twice) and Family (The Chainsmokers and Kygo song) now. It's flat out disruptive. After your note to them in October, they were blocked in November for sockpuppetry as well. This needs to stop, and Tbone never discusses anything. Ss112 14:47, 13 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
