Speedy deletion of Dimitriy Tyapushkin

edit

A tag has been placed on Dimitriy Tyapushkin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Gautama Buddha ‎

edit

I undid your change to Gautama Buddha. While there are certain days of the year that are recognized as being the precise birth or death dates of Siddhartha Gautama, they vary quite a bit between traditions, and often vary from year to year due to the way local calendars are calculated. None of these exact dates of the year are verifiable from textual or archaeological records. --Clay Collier (talk) 21:22, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Taties20! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 876 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Sándor Gellér

edit

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Sándor Gellér has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 12:23, 10 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Badiépa

edit

A tag has been placed on Badiépa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Hello. Please understand that all information included in articles should be verifiable by reference to reliable published sources. This is particularly important in biographies of living persons. Please stop adding or changing dates of birth or death, places of birth or death, heights, etc, in biographical articles without at the same time adding a reference to the reliable published source from which you got the information. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 12:24, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

December 2010

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Pat Van Den Hauwe, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The player's height according to the Soccerbase link in the article is 5 ft 11. Please don't make unsourced changes. Struway2 (talk) 21:44, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

And again... I've undone your changes to dates of birth at 1930 FIFA World Cup squads and Pedro Benítez (goalkeeper) because you didn't add a source for your additions. Proposed deletion of Didier Chambaron

edit

The article Didier Chambaron has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jcgoble3 (talk) 21:04, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
