Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Surrey Stars, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sarah Taylor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Notability of cricketers edit

Hi. Please read WP:NCRIC. A lot of the articles you have been created do not meet the requirements for notability. Please do not create any further articles until the individual has met WP:NCRIC. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:04, 17 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Lugnuts: Two examples are from the recent Ugandan cricket team in Qatar in 2019–20 article. Articles have been created for Frank Akankwasa and Trevor Bukenya, and links added on the series article, but neither meet WP:NCRIC. Should we mark these for deletion or leave them? Bs1jac (talk) 07:31, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for spotting them - I'll prod them as they don't meet the notability requirements. @Synux jitu: - please stop creating articles for cricketers that don't meet WP:NCRIC. If you have any questions, please reply here. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:33, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Bs1jac: - Frank Akankwasa has been deleted before, so that can be a speedy! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:35, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Frank Akankwasa and Trevor Bukenya are played 3 T20I matches. Synux jitu (talk) 08:12, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Have a read of #4 of WP:NCRIC. For an Associate team after 1 July 2018, the player is only notable if they have played in a World T20, Global Qualifier or Regional Final. This was just two Associate teams playing a bi-lateral series. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:35, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea about Associate team/member. So I'm helpless. You can do what, you want about this page/article. Synux jitu (talk) 08:44, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Lugnuts and Bs1jac: Seems like this notability thing is still confusing people. Human (talk) 21:26, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

It crops up from time to time. By Synux's own admission, above, they state they have no idea about Associate cricket, so it's probably an area they should either avoid, or upskill themselves on. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 22:22, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

You can delete this page. I have no any complain abot this. Synux jitu (talk) 01:14, 21 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

May 2020 edit

You STILL don't seem to understand the notability requirements. What part of WP:CRIN does Lorraine Phiri meet, for example? Her match against Ireland is classed as a "other" fixture (not WODI or T20I) on Cricinfo. All of her WT20I matches are after 1 July 2018 and were not part of a World Cup (Qualifer). Please STOP creating articles until you fully understand the notability requirements. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:33, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

And rubbish like this is not helpful either. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:35, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

2019–20 Senior Women's One Day League - merging of detail articles edit

I noticed you blanked out several detail articles for this event. After a closer look at the articles, it seems you have notability concerns about the articles. However, the event year's main article (2019–20 Senior Women's One Day League) should be sufficiently notable. Therefore, you may want to consider merging some of the event details into that main article first before having the detailed sub articles deleted. Hope this proposal makes sense. Proposed deletion of Donkere Laan edit

The article Donkere Laan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Where to start?

  • The name of the ground is "Donkerelaan", not "Donkere Laan"
  • "The first and to date only recorded match?" Many matches have been played here, as it is the grounds of CC Bloemendaal, a Dutch 2nd division ("Hoofdklasse") team (the club in total has some 200 members).
  • It is basically a lawn with on one side a smallish (but nice) pavillion, and no stands.
  • At best this should be a redirect to the club, but since that doesn't have an article, there is no reason to have a separate article for the grounds.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. WP:VERIFY edit

Please don't add stats to articles such as Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy without adding appropriate sourcing. It's not that difficult to add the sources too- you must have had them available in order to find the stats, so next time please just add them to the article. Otherwise, as per WP:VERIFY, unsourced content can just be reverted. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:13, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm forget adding source. Synux jitu (talk) 08:16, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

And please do not add unsourced content, or worst still, add it like this. Find the source first, then add it, not the other way around. There is [[Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Unsourced_edits_accompanied_by_a_[citation needed]_tag|this thread]] at WP:ANI from today for an editor who's been doing the same, who has now been blocked. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 15:19, 26 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Agree. You must have read the stats somewhere (I'm guessing Cricinfo), so not difficult to add that link, rather than making someone else go find it. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:37, 26 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Errors edit

Hi. While I appreciate your recent work, you're still prone to making a lot of errors, such as not linking to the correct players, and basic scorecard errors. The same when you create new biographies - it's extra work in checking and double-checking everything you do. I'd recommend you continue to focus on creating missing cricket grounds and working on tournaments like this to avoid creating extra work for others on first-class matches. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:50, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

And also see WP:HOUND. You seem to be following my edits around. An editor who continued to do this ended up being blocked. Thank you. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:16, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Cricket grounds edit

Hello - please note that some of the articles you are creating for cricket grounds not only fail WP:CRIN, they also contain factually incorrect statements. Los Pinos Polo Club Ground and Las Caballerizas are not "mainly used for cricket", not in any way at all. And the matches they have hosted are not notable ones. It is likely that these and other articles will be nominated for deletion - please read WP:CRIN which explains what cricket grounds are considered notable. Thank you.
