I think Jeeny left cuz she thought I vandeled her user page. I didn't though, but someone did. I can't find anything that suggested it though look at her history on her talk page and you'll see it, but it seems like that's the reason she left. Seth71 06:17, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call edit

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

August 2007 edit

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Big Brother 8 (US). Thank you. Rjd0060 01:20, 24 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. It is not a huge deal or anything. It just helps. An edit summary should strive to answer the question, "Why did you make this edit?". Providing an edit summary, even if the edit is minor, makes Wikipedia work better by quickly explaining to other users what your change was about. That is from the article edit summary . It just helps that way when people look at the page's history, we know what your edit was about. If you look at that page, you should get a better understanding. There is even a photo of a page, and it shows what the edit summary box looks like. Hope this helps. - Rjd0060 03:25, 24 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Miraclesscreencapep5.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Miraclesscreencapep5.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:09, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

FCC and BB edit

I wasn't referring to your comment when I said that. I was referring to "...by the way, wikipedia is second life for corporations, not an encyclopedia...", which is what Wanzhen said. Sorry for the confusion. - Rjd0060 14:38, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ummmmm....I take some offense to the fact that you are saying that I should stop arguing. I am not one to sit on here and have a back and forth, back and forth argument. If you go through the conversation, it started with me and Wanzhen. I made my points, and that was it. It seems that Wanzhen and yourself are the ones that need to stop, if anybody. In my opinion YOU are absolutely 100% CORRECT and Wanzhen doesn't know what the heck he is talking about. I am assuming that you didn't really mean anything by saying that I should stop, but I just want to make sure. - Rjd0060 19:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Personal attacks edit

With regard to your comments on Talk:Big Brother 8 (US)‎ : Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Specifically, please don't call other editors "idiots". It's an ad hominem that only makes your own position look less credible, plus it's a personal attack (see policy linked above). --Darkwind (talk) 21:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE: Argument with Wanzhen edit

No problem. As I was typing that message to you, I started thinking that I was just probably jumping to conclusions. I know that guy dont know what he's talking about. I wasn't going to say anything else in that conversation either, but then I saw a reply that he had made, so I said something back. I dont like to let people think they are right, when they are so obviously wrong. That guy made me mad too. I find it more entertaining than anything though. I am not going to say anything to him that would escalate the problem, however I am going to defend my actions, and defend Wikipedia policies. I am not going to let some (________) do stuff like that. I'll let you fill in the blank yourself! OK. Glad everything is good. I think that guy is pretty much done now tho. I do see that he reported you and you got a warning. Too bad. I didnt think you said anything out of line. - Rjd0060 00:05, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Tothe5boroughscorrectartwork.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hello there! If you're receiving this message, it means that you are currently in the Participants category of The Office WikiProject. A message involving reconfirmation was included in the current newsletter, but it was a bit buried, and I wanted to make sure that everyone received notice of this so we can get as accurate of a count as we can. Image copyright problem with Image:Emmyball.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Emmyball.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

would appreciate your help! edit

Hi ! I am new to wiki so i hope I'm typing this in the right spot! I'm reaching out to other users for help. As I understand it, I need to track down an established wiki editor to help me rid the first article i've created ("Stone and Stone")of the ugly box that was posted on top "This article has multiple issues....".

I know exactly how these complaints came about. In my ignorance on how wiki works, I gave myself the same nickname as the subject I was writing on and then a whole drama ensued, as it was assumed that I was my subject and that I was writing an autobiography! In truth, I am a huge comedy fan and biographer and was dipping my toes for the first time in wikipedia waters!

Any help or solutions you could provide me when you get the chance would be greatly appreciated! This poor little article certainly doesn't deserve such an ugly heading box because of my wiki-ignorance! Thank you in advance for your time! Comedybiographer (talk) 10:51, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Miracles pilot screenshot.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Miracles pilot screenshot.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:03, 22 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
