WT:IE

Hi Smirkybec. Just a little unsolicited advice. You posted to a discussion at WP:IE in a thread at the top. In my recent experience, few people now come to that page, and fewer still read anything beyond the last one or two threads. You're more likely to get a response if you move yesterday's posts to a new thread at the bottom ("Irish v British nationality again", for instance), with a link back to the previous one. Best of luck. Scolaire (talk) 08:03, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice (and the good luck wishes!), very much appreciated! Smirkybec (talk) 14:41, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Are you running an event right now?

I just CU'd some suspicious-looking accounts and found a whole nest of them - at first I thought it was a school setting up a class project, but now I've spotted your name in the list... Are you running an editathon or similar today? Yunshui  10:36, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I'm running an editing workshop with a school group right now. Hope there isn't anything disruptive happening? Smirkybec (talk) 10:49, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
So far only some slightly inadvisable talkpage communications (which is what tripped my suspicions). The actual article edits so far (two, at my last count) are ok. If you're overseeing things I have no concerns; have a good workshop! Yunshui  11:16, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
