The Plucky Squire edit

Hi there. I was reviewing this new article that you made, and I'm a little concerned it might be premature. There's plenty of product announcements and the plot, but is there any information on how the game plays/genre information? I know it is a 2D and 3D action-adventure, but what type? A Metroidvania, a run and gun, or something else? Is there information on what the developers intended when they were making it? I'm certain that this game is or will be notable, but there might not be enough information to give readers an article on it right now. The Night Watch (talk) 20:05, 26 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

March 2023 edit

Hello SlightAngle. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:SlightAngle. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SlightAngle|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Pretty much all edits are related to Devolver Digital or its games, it is required to divulge if you work for Devolver Digital. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 09:17, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:SlightAngle, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SlightAngle|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 16:09, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

There is no we, I'm the only person who has access to this account. Force of habit to say "we". SlightAngle (talk) 20:43, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Stick it to the Stickman edit

The article Stick it to the Stickman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:PROMOTIONAL article by a Paid Editor.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Suggestion for Stick it to the Stickman edit

It does not appear currently notable at this time, but may become notable post release when reviews appear from major outlets. I suggest moving the article voluntarily to your userspace or draftspace and waiting until that point and resubmitting. Otherwise, it risks being deleted. Thank you. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 17:08, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
