Help on a template edit

For a start, would you help me out on this template:

http://cbk-zam.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:WikipediaHermana

After you fix it, it should show up correctly on the first page of the Chavacano Wikipedia (bottom of the page). It's actually the sister projects template. Di ko lang ma fix...Di lumalabas ang images. TY! --Weekeejames 23:02, 3 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Odd. It comes out normally in my browser. --Sky Harbor 14:38, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Di Rocco edit

I just saw your picture at may nakita kong "Lim & Di Rocco Family." Kilala mo ba si Monica Di Rocco? Kaklase ko siya dati at Pinay siya. --Chris S. 14:48, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nope. I got the name kasi my mom got remarried and the (ex-)husband had Di Rocco as the last name. Don't know if she kept the married name, though. --Sky Harbor 21:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok. And I see you're from up in Issaquah. You don't like the Puget Sound?
What can we do about that? It's a fact of life. --Sky Harbor 15:06, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dbp logo.jpg) edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Dbp logo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 15:07, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

San Miguel Corporation edit

Hi Sky_Harbor, I've seen your work about Philippine companies so would you mind contributing to the articles for San Miguel Corporation and Ayala Corporation? It's really a shame that the articles for such Philippine companies are neglected. SMC is becoming a pain to edit as a red user is really insistent that only his work be used. --SunKing 14:24, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Of course I can contribute! I did a bit of cleanup work for both in the past but it seems that they have gone nowhere since then. I'll try cleaning them up a bit. --Sky Harbor 15:30, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

MRT edit

The MRT article seems to be updated with not-so-related encyclopedic incomplete content. --Mithril Cloud 08:55, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Someone added in the administrative aspects of the MRT, as well as the BOT contract in general. I think a nice place for that is the article on the Metro Rail Transit Corporation, as it seems pertinent there. --Sky Harbor 12:29, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Good choice. The anon editor seems to be okay with the move as well. -- Mithril Cloud 14:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
If you think about it, the anon registered as well. --Sky Harbor 15:25, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've taken a couple of new and updated pictures. You can see them at the MRT, Taft Station, and Ayala Station articles. I've also replaced one image at the LRT article. --Mithril Cloud 10:53, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

PNR map edit

As you requested, here's a map of the railway network in Luzon. It's based on this image, which is kinda grainy so I couldn't always tell the difference between rail and road. What do you think? Are the colors alright? Should there be more city labels? I don't really know anything about the rail system. :p By the way, thanks for your support vote for History of the Philippines. :) Coffee 15:55, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks (for the map) and you're welcome (for the FAC vote). The map is great, although Dagupan, Calamba and Naga, which are (or were) important train cities, are missing, as well as a small branch line to Santa Cruz in Laguna (it's in the NCR zoom inset). Then again, I can use the map now, so I'll stuff it in the PNR article. --Sky Harbor 21:44, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Another thing, it's your call if you want to add Malolos, Angeles, San Fernando (Pampanga) and Lucena. --Sky Harbor 22:05, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Let's vote for Mariano Trias edit

Hey there Sky Harbor! I would like to ask for your vote for the article of Mariano Trias in Wikipedia's Article Creation and Improvement Drive.

I believe that this article still needs a bit of clean-up and expansion. I hope you would vote for the article in this link.

Thanks a lot!!! ---- Kevin Ray 08:34, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Letters edit

I have read your letters for the press. How will these letters be sent? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deogene (talkcontribs)

That's the problem. As long as there is no return address, how will they reply? I would normally recommend setting up Wikimedia Philippines first, but as of now it's quite dormant. Looks like I will have to find a way to do so. --Sky Harbor 14:16, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Manila MRT stations edit

Let me start by saying well done on finding a free photo for Araneta Center-Cubao Station, and thanks for tidying up my changes to Template:Manila MRT station. I thought you might like to know I've tagged two maps you uploaded Image:Vm quirino.gif and Image:Vm pedrogil.gif as replaceable fair use. Edward 10:06, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh. I wasn't aware of that. Although I have a bunch of MRT pictures I can use which I still have to upload, and I have to change licensing to some of the other pictures I made. --Sky Harbor 10:16, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:P1 pict.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:P1 pict.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 08:41, 18 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Untagged image edit

An image you uploaded, Image:Ph seal legazpicity.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 13:57, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Ph_seal_ncr_pasig.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ph_seal_ncr_pasig.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Unspecified source for Image:1-E Suso.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:1-E Suso.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 02:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of Philippine National Railways edit

The article Philippine National Railways you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold.  It hasn't failed because it's basically a good article, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Philippine National Railways for things needed to be addressed. I have placed it "on-hold" for a few reasons. These are simple enough and can be easily addressed. I have placed my concerns on Talk:Philippine National Railways. Any questions about my review please leave me a message. If you address my concerns, let me know and it should make GA. Kind regards, LordHarris 23:53, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your opinion on the proposed station/lines articles edit

Good day, what do you think about the articles on the proposed LRT-1 stations and this newly created article on the "Red Line"? Isn't it against WP:CRYSTAL? --Mithril Cloud 14:23, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

They are verifiable, therefore they cannot be considered forseeing the future. LRT-6 station names can be found on the LRTA website, and MRT-4/MRT-7 was found in the SkyscraperCity forums. --Sky Harbor 03:18, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Come to think of it, are there any updates on the MRT-4 line? Or did the MRT-7, by any chance, replaced this line? As for the future line/station articles, even though they're verifiable, I don't think they're notable enough for obvious reasons. Maybe merging the stations with its respective line extension article would do the job. --Mithril Cloud 04:49, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
The difference between MRT-4 and MRT-7 is quite murky. Some say MRT-7 replaced MRT-4, others do not. It's all quite unclear to me. I'll try looking into it. --Sky Harbor 04:54, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Quezon Avenue MRT Station edit

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Quezon Avenue MRT Station, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Non-free use disputed for Image:SurigaoSeal.JPG edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:SurigaoSeal.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:38, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

2P edit

I revised your recent edit, because SunStar is not a verifiable source. And don't you know how to look for references why don't you see the timetable of 2P or PR. -chris^_^ 08:58, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am very surprised that out of all people, you have the audacity to say that I do not know how to look for references. Don't you remember WP:NPA? Just because you think the Sun.Star is an unreliable source does not mean that I have to follow your opinion (I use the Sun.Star extensively on Iloilo International Airport). Besides, I saw another article, but I have yet to look for it again (on some Canadian business website). I found it and added it accordingly to the Air Philippines article. --Sky Harbor 11:05, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
FYI, what I said is not a personal attack. Also me saying that SunStar isn't a reliable source, isn't an opinion it's a fact. -chris^_^ 12:29, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Very well, if you say as a matter of fact that the Sun.Star is unreliable, prove to me that this is indeed fact. --Sky Harbor 12:40, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, look at this link: [1]. According to that article, according to that site, they say CZ will fly CEB-PVG-CEB starting last May 2007, and PR will fly CEB-KIX-CEB, and that PR also flies CEB-PEK-CEB. According to the official website of CEB and and OAG.com, and the official website of PR, these flights do not exist/have started as of today. Also Sun.Star hasn't published a follow-up article about why CZ hasn't commenced service yet, and why PR does not fly CEB-PEK-CEB. Is this enough? -chris^_^ 13:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps, although I think the problem is not with the newspaper but with the government who announced the flights in the very first place. It is the Secretary of Tourism himself who said that these flights will occur but they never did. --Sky Harbor 22:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:New_BDO_Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:New_BDO_Logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 20:17, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Image:RP_airports.PNG edit

Regarding the Airports of the Philippines image, I have already corrected the proper locations for the ff airports:

  • Legaspi-Daraga International Airport;
  • New Iloilo International Airport; and
  • Cagayan de Oro-Laguidingan International Airport

Thanks for the information! --Glenncando 02:13, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome, although I notice that the dot representing Mandurriao Airport has not yet been deleted. --Sky Harbor 12:03, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:WPB Logo.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:WPB Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:50, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:EON Card.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EON Card.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Thank you. Sopoforic 17:29, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
