Hi: reading like an essay is a good thing, not a bad thing. And the references are formatted correctly, in accordance with academic style. Unfortunately, the wikisite you point me to does not give specific instructions on how to format references. So, if there is a correction you would like me to make, you will have to give some specific instructions. Sjmkahn (talk) 18:17, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Asparagusus was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: I'm going to be WP:BOLD and reject this. There has been no change since the last submission. None of the citations have been formatted correctly, and there are no inline citations. Nobody has fixed this in a year so I doubt anyone will. Five declines is more than enough time to fix an article, but there are still massive problems. I believe that the only way to fix this is to WP:TNT it. Also, a lot of the sources don't have WP:SIGCOV and the prose is still somewhat like an essay.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and has content guidelines edit

Hello Sjmkahn. Based on your reply here 1, you appear to not understand Wikipedia's goals. However, you have not been welcomed properly, so that's what this is for. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a place to publish your essays. The most important content policy is that editors have to write in a neutral tone. Editors also need to provide reliable sources to establish notability of their subjects. You also seem to not know how to correctly format Wikipedia sources. Please read WP:HOWTOCITE, which you have been directed to before. Wikipedia doesn't have the same citation formatting as "academic sources". You need to put inline links to citations in your articles so readers can tell what citations support which content. Many editors have given you instructions on how to improve the article, but there has not been significant change since you first submitted it. Have a good day/night! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 20:34, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

sorry, but these comments are, like most of the comments I've received, garbage. You claim that the article has not undergone significant revisions. That is false. You claim that the article is not written in a neutral tone. That is false. You've rejected the article now on the grounds that the subject isn't sufficiently notable, whereas previous editors already had accepted it as sufficiently notable--and they were right to do so: a WWII vet decorated by not one but two heads of state (the Queen of England and the President of Czechoslovakia) is, indeed, sufficiently notable. Stop being obstructionist; provide some halfway decent feedback that actually tells me what you want me to fix, in concrete terms, not some vague obstructionist nonsense about writing essays (a previous comment told me that the article was written like a CV; I changed that--and now I'm told it reads like an essay. Apparently you don't know what an essay is if you think that Wikipedia doesn't include essays on significant subjects as entries. Every encyclopedia does so). 191.81.167.26 (talk) 22:02, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
