Your submission at Articles for creation

edit

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Hill Close Gardens, Warwick. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Stoneleigh Abbey

edit

Please do not add this material to the Stoneleigh Abbey article as it is a direct copy of material from the abbey website which is copyrighted. We cannot use copyrighted material. Thanks. Keith D (talk) 12:14, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I know the people that run the Abbey. If they agree that the information can be published on Wikipedia is that OK? ShakespeareCountry (talk) 14:26, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

You will have to get formal permission from them via an e-mail address associated with the web site and forward this on to wiki. Details of what to do and where to send it are contained in Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. Hope this helps. Keith D (talk) 17:04, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Keith. This is my first go at adding stuff to wikipedia so bear with me while I get used to the processes. I'll talk to Stoneleigh in the week and get the necessary permissions. ShakespeareCountry (talk) 18:44, 20 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Summerhouse 17 with 2 borders redd.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Summerhouse 17 with 2 borders redd.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 23 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This ismy first go at loading up an image. I have looked through the list of licence options but am not sure which one to go for. I have received permission by email from Hill Close Gardens Trust to use this image freely. What licence does that come under? Tony: What a brilliant idea. By all means use that picture. Thanks Chris Begg

Thank you for uploading File:Summerhouse 17 with 2 borders redd.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:16, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
