Proposed deletion of International Surfing Day edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article International Surfing Day, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Triwbe (talk) 15:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Lorelei Hill Butters edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Lorelei Hill Butters, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Lorelei Hill Butters seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Lorelei Hill Butters, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Hiram Lodge, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. No problem edit

All in a day's work. I added them back in just now. The thing about List of United States Christmas television specials is that it's 99% about Christmas-themed episodes of regular television series, plus it doesn't give any information other than the title and year of the episode or film. BTW, thanks for the redlinking -- that was something I was going to do when I logged on today, but you had already done it. Softlavender (talk) 23:50, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Special Delivery (2000_film) edit

The article Special Delivery (2000_film) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Feel free to write to me for any assistance. Wireless Fidelity Class One (talk 18:32, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I get your point. You could create a disambiguation page titled Special Delivery, and then disambiguate the various links to the different movies, at the same time providing links of the disambig page on the movie pages too. That'll stop other editors from tagging your movie entry. (Do reply on my page in case you do) Wireless Fidelity Class One (talk 14:06, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ah. Such a page already exists. So I'm putting a disambig tag on top of your article. Wireless Fidelity Class One (talk 14:07, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome Wireless Fidelity Class One (talk 05:29, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Peepshow (burlesque) edit

Hello, Shadzane. Are you planning to create this article? If not, I do not see any good reason why it should remain linked. I do not believe that this article will be created any time soon by anyone else. Flyer22 (talk) 03:50, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I linked it hoping someone else would create the article. (I don't think I'm up to creating an article on a theatrical show.) Since no one has now after several months, I suppose it's time to remove the link... Shadzane (talk) 19:21, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh, okay. Thanks for responding. Sorry for my late response. Since you recently linked it again, I won't remove it again for at least some months. We'll see if it causes someone to finally create the article. Flyer22 (talk) 19:11, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are now a Reviewer edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:31, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Shadzane! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Around the World in Eighty Days. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Little Shop edit

Okay, Mr. HOT SHOT. WHERE did you get information that Frank Oz created the show? And don't say IMDB, Wikipedia, or anywhere else where ANYONE can add information. --Taco Wiz (talk) 23:24, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

On the page itself, in the infobox... Shadzane (talk) 23:26, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I just TOLD YOU "And don't say Wikipedia". That's a lie. Frank Oz is NOT credited as the creator anywhere except Wikipedia. Thanks for not listening to me. Now find me a source besides Wikipedia and IMDB and the like, or I change things back to my way. --Taco Wiz (talk) 04:02, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Archies Pals n Gals 1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Archies Pals n Gals 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:28, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
