Your FAC nomination edit

I have removed your listing of Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Close but No Cigar (song) from WP:FAC. Please familiarize yourself with the instructions at the top of that page to properly nominate an article for FA. Might I add that the article you nominated does not meet the FA criteria; see WP:FACR for more. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 12:44, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:WeirdAl cats2-735994.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:WeirdAl cats2-735994.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:28, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall edit

I have nominated Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. /Blaxthos ( t / c ) 23:48, 20 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fred (webshow) edit

Do not unredirect this article again. The result of the AfD was redirect, and you may not overturn that decision without addressing the concerns raised in the AfD, which you have not. seresin ( ¡? )  18:18, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You may assert that the channel 'deserves' its own page all you want, but that doesn't make it notable. If you can satisfy that guideline, there can be an article. But until then, it remains redirected. seresin ( ¡? )  19:07, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tragicomedy edit

Greetings! I've been asked to give an opinion. On Little Shop of Horrors (musical) -- as well as The Rocky Horror Picture Show -- it seems to be that consensus is against calling these "tragicomedies". I'm not going to venture an opinion as to whether or not you're right, but when you are on the wrong side of consensus, you have to play by Wikipedia's rules to make headway. If you can provide a reliable source to back you up -- preferably more than one -- and politely persuade the others that your sources are worth including in the article, that's the best way to solve it. (Sometimes you just have to drop it. There's plenty of times since I've been an editor here that I just had to let go of a position I was sure I was right about.) Shouting at people and insulting them will have the opposite effect from the one you want. Think about it for a minute -- if someone yells at you that you are wrong about something, does it make you more or less likely to defend your position than if they explain gently and politely? Wikipedia works on WP:CONSENSUS, and it's quite rare that a single editor can overturn an established consensus on a matter; it only happens if that person brings in reliable sources. Hope this helps, Antandrus (talk) 18:40, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Little Shop of Horrors (musical) edit

I just answered you, over on my page...Shadzane (talk) 23:30, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thanks for the message. Let's communicate on the talk pages. All the best, -- Ssilvers (talk) 07:30, 12 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I do want to talk to you, but not in a public forum. --Taco Wiz (talk) 07:47, 12 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the message. No hard feelings. Just put the information on the article talk page here: Talk:Little Shop of Horrors (musical). Include the author's name, the title of the article, the url, the name of the publication, the date published, and the page number, if possible. Then we can take it from there. By the way, I am troubled by your premise: There is nothing wrong with comedy. Comedy has the power to make people happy. Shakespeare's comedies are famous and respected worldwide. Great comedies have included Trading Places, Duck Soup, Dr. Strangelove, Annie Hall, Groundhog Day and Little Shop. Some are hilarious, some are touching. Art is not a competition - Tragedy is not better than comedy; they are just two kinds of drama. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:30, 24 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Great! I'm at my dad's house right now, but when I get back home, I'll gladly supply you with the information.--Taco Wiz (talk) 17:39, 24 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Elmo Live edit

The article Elmo Live has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

All current sources are either primary or unreliable. Only one source found via WP:BEFORE [1].

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
