Speedy deletion of United Assembly of Christ edit

A tag has been placed on United Assembly of Christ, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 23:05, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from United Assembly of Christ, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. --Rrburke(talk) 01:40, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of United Assembly of Christ edit

A tag has been placed on United Assembly of Christ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

Removal of Speedy Deletion tags edit

Hi Sfjmercado. I would like to tell you that it is against Wikipedia policy to remove a speedy deletion tags on articles that you created as you did on United Assembly of Christ. That policy is written in the third line on the tag in bold letters:

do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself

It is also written in italics in the second line under the banner at WP:CSD

The creator of a page may not remove a Speedy Delete tag from it. Only an editor who is not the creator of a page may do so. A creator who disagrees with the speedy deletion should instead add {{hangon}} to the page, and explain the rationale on the page's discussion page.

You have done this several times to this article in particular, and were told not to on your talk page. You have been asked several times, please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created. If the article meets the criteria the tag suggests it will be deleted by an administrator. Also note that you are not allowed to remove an article for deletion tag until the deletion process has been completed, that goes for any editor, not just the creator. You are welcome to weigh in with your opinion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United Assembly of Christ, however at this time it looks like the church does not meet the notability guidelines for Wikipedia. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me on my talk page.--kelapstick (talk) 17:04, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
